Gaming Towers Keep Your Consoles Organized

gamingtower

Organization is always an issue with gaming consoles. Wires get tangled, controllers get left strewn across the floor, games are left out of their cases. It can develop into a nightmare.

The Xbox and Wii gaming towers (it appears someone has something against Sony) helps keep your console, controllers and games in order. Each tower has designated spots for each controller (including a guitar) and can hold up to 16 different games.

One-Handed Xbox 360 Controller

sc_1

Righties rejoice. Ben Heck has done it again with a brand new mod. This time around the Heck-ster created a one-handed Xbox 360 controller. The addition of a semi-intrusive joystick removes the need for the left side of the controller. An added mechanism on the rear of the controller manages the bumper action.

While it’s not as pretty as some of his past creations, it gets the job done, leaving your left hand free for more important activities. Specifically while playing Tomb Raider. *wink wink* (Yes… masturbation.) Lefties are still left with no hands.

An Xbox 360 Achievment I Can Actually Achieve: Red Ring of Death

xbox-red-ring-death

Finally, an achievement anybody can earn, without even playing a game.

The Xbox 360 Achievement: Red Ring of Death t-shirt rings a little too close to home for us Xbox gamers. Microsoft might consider adding an achievement, at least something good could come out of something altogether sucky. And that’s how my console became airborne.

Xbox 360 Controller Magnets

xbox-magnets

Just because your mom used to collect all of those kitschy magnets on the family fridge doesn’t mean all magnets should be burned in a fiery pit. In fact, these Xbox 360 controller magnets could find themselves holding an honorable spot on my fridge.

Each set is $20, so it’ll hardly make a huge dent in your pocket. But it might offer a considerable boost to your dating life. Geeky chicks love this kind of crap.

Wii60: Natal to be included on next-gen Xbox?

natalbox

Project Natal could be headed to an Xbox near you! At least, that’s what sources are leading us to believe. If the speculation is correct, and as we all know, it ALWAYS is, than Microsoft will be releasing their motion-detecting Natal, not as a peripheral add-on, but as the major component of their next-gen console.

So, what does this mean for us? Will the next Xbox be more like a Wii than an Xbox? Hmm, interesting query, Watson. Seems Sony is even heading in that direction. Good lord, Nintendo, what have you done?

Microsoft Sells 30 Millionth Xbox 360

xbox360logo1

Like it or not, Microsoft has managed to dominate the console market in just a few years. The company just announced that it has sold over 30 million Xbox 360s around the world. In addition to that impressive number, Microsoft has 20 million Xbox Live subscribers. By comparison, Activision-Blizzard’s World of Warcraft has around 12 million. Talk about a cash cow.

Pre-order Guitar Hero: Van Halen

ghvanhalengstoplistingsjpg

Oh my god. Yessssssss.

You gotta understand, people. I am a huge Van Halen fan. For years I’ve always picked up my guitar and started playing EVH songs like “Atomic Punk”, “Cathedral” and, of course, “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.” Now, come August 4th, we’ll all be able to rock out to a shitload of Van Halen tracks via Guitar Hero. While I would have preferred for the game to be released on the Rock Band platform, GH is appropriate and I’m sure they’re not going to go fucking this one up. Even the PS2 is getting it, so you retro-gamers finally have something to get excited about.

ZuneHD Pictures Surface

zunehd2

You like that? Two Microsoft products in one title. Boo yah!

Here are some new pictures that are supposedly of the ZuneHD. While they are plausible, the quality is such shit that I can’t help but think they’ve been Photoshopped. Here’s the “rumored details” or whatever bullshit you want say will come with this unconfirmed device:

The ZuneHD will have a capacitive, multi-touch OLED screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and TV out, from what looks to be a HDMI port on the side. The radio will now be HD and the device will support HD media playback, which will be available from the updated Zune Marketplace.

The ZuneHD will also support 3D Xbox games, but it is unclear what form this will take.

The device will come in 16 and 32 GB versions, and will support wireless sync. It will also finally come with a browser that supports multi-touch.

Mmmhmm. Right. “3D Xbox games” sounds dead on. Will it come with a built-in tequila dispenser too? Hey, when a product isn’t real, you might as well make up any goddamned thing you please.

Jackpot: Dude Finds Ecstasy Pills In Used Video Game Manual

ecstacynomnom

So, here’s the deal. Some dude bought two used copies of Grand Theft Auto games for his 12-year-old son and was surprised to find a few ecstasy pills wrapped in cling wrap, hidden in the video game’s manual. Instead of quietly thanking the gaming gods and grabbing the nearest bottle of water, the father decided to cause a little scuff, claiming that his kids, whom apparently play XBox constantly, could have died if they had taken the mysterious pills.

Dude, if your 12-year-old son is still swallowing random things he finds wrapped in suspicious looking cling wrap, it’s safe to say he shouldn’t be playing Grand Theft Auto in the first place. Not to mention the little gaming addict is wearing an AIG shirt. I mean, really? Teach your son some values.

Exer-Station: Wii Fit-like Gaming Exercise on Any Console

exer

This is just perfect. And not only because the Wii sucks! Okay, well mostly because the Wii sucks. But we have to hand it to Nintendo. Their little Wii Fit gimmick is a decent idea… in theory. The problem is that their console is a gimmicky pile of junk, which isn’t much help to those of us who need a serious workout.

By far, the most awesome thing about the Exer-Station Pro is that you don’t need the Wii to enjoy a side of gaming to go with your workout. Compatible with PlayStation, PSP, XBox, GameCube, Mac and PC, it has a tremendous amount of cross-console compatibility. No need to suffer for a mediocre console in vain.
