Haha, owned: Study finds one in four corporate computers contain porn
Fraud and grand larceny aren’t the only shady events going down in the corporate world nowadays. A study conducted by PixAlert determined that one out of every four computers used by corporations contain pornographic material. Other than the 25% deemed pornographic, an astonishing 46.8% contain fully nude or sexual suggestive material, with 0.3% of that being deemed “illegal”. The study showed that some people are going through extraordinary lengths to bypass security systems in order to receive and distribute inappropriate... Continue reading
Samsung Concept PC times three
Samsung released pictures of three new concept PCs they’ve got in the works and they are pretty out of this world. No specs yet, and frankly, I don’t even think Samsung knows yet. Talk about conceptual. The one pictured above looks like a cross between a UFO and a witch’s hat. We don’t even know what to think about these. We don’t really see the technological advancement in any of these designs, though they are very pretty. They actually seem... Continue reading

This monster is going to have a storage capability of up to..get ready…3 TB! That’s right, 3 whole terabytes. As Apple says with the announcement “consider the bar raised” and we whole heartily agree. The new Mac Pros will also be capable of holding 16GB of memory, which you’ll... Continue reading

DIY: Deep Fryer PC
Fast food is an American pastime. The old golden arches of McDonalds are one of the most well known logos worldwide. The media in recent years has created a hoopla about the amount of calories and fats in fast food meals. Though, there is no denying that regardless of bad press, fried food is part of our lives. Using another one of our most commonly used objects, SupersizedMeals presents their Deep Fryer PC hybrid. Sure, it might be meaningless for... Continue reading

No word yet on whether the Linux installed computers will be cheaper then the Windows installed PC’s, but since many Linux distributions are based... Continue reading
Microsoft “Ringcam” Roundtable preparing for public trial
Uh oh, we all know how Microsoft loves to be in control of everything. And in VoIP and Internet telephony, Microsoft has lagged behind the likes of Skype. When it was rumored that Microsoft was working on a VoIP phone, it wasn’t a surprise, and seemed rather uneventful. Now that details are starting to appear of the Microsoft Roundtable phone, we can see that they are not playing around. The Ringcam was originally showcased last year as a slightly ugly... Feature: Are desktop PC’s becoming obsolete?
Desktop PC’s have been a foundation of everyday life for most people for over a decade now. If you were to do a case study of computers and their hardware history, one fact remains a constant. Hardware just keeps increasing work capacity, while also decreasing in physical size. With the ever growing explosion of laptop sales and the ever shrinking stature of desktop components, how long is it until the two sources of computing become one. When will the desktop... DIY Mod: Transform a retro toaster into a mini PC
While the computer has come a long way since its rise, the last two decades have proven to be rather uninteresting concerning the case design of most computers. The same old rectangular tower is still the norm for most PC’s. A company named Slipperyskip Computers has been experimenting by putting small motherboards into some interesting cases. Including coolest of all, this retro toaster of old. Being named the DECOmputer, the original toaster was said to be perfect for modding. Dripping... Continue reading
