Hitachi first to release Blu-Ray camcorders

At the past years CES conference, Hitatchi showed off the design for their Blu-Ray Camcorder. Hitachi has announced that these bad boys will be on sale by the end of 2007 and will feature a 5.3 megapixel CMOS.

Hitachi designed a special 8 cm Blu-Ray DVD drive with 7 GB of storage room, which will help them become the first company to offer a Blu-Ray camcorder device. Hitachi was also the first to offer a HD/DVD hybrid recorder. — Andrew Dobrow
