Hick Town in North Carolina Bans “WTF” License Plates

Looks like the town of Raleigh, NC has a stick up its ass. After city officials, who have apparently been living in the past, discovered that the acronym “WTF” stands for “What The Fuck?” Yeah, old people strike again.

DMV officials got word of the plates last July when a 60-year-old technology teacher from Fayetteville complained about the plate after her teenage grandchildren clued her in.

I’m pretty sure you’re rolling your eyes at this point too. If you find yourself with one of the offending plates, you can visit your local DMV to exchange your license plate for a new one. Felons, take note!

  1. Hey, I’m actually from Fayetteville and while this story is absolutely ridiculous and we have our fair share of hicks, it’s far from a hick town. We’re home to the one of the nation’s largest military bases so we have quite a bit of diversity. We also have a large Asian population. Please remove “Hick” from the headline. Generalizations aren’t good for society.

Also, state officials learned of this last year, so I’m not sure why it’s news now. The grandmother learned what “WTF” meant “last July”. This only seems to be news now because the DMV waited a year before notifying holders of these particular plates.

As technology continues to meld with society, I’m sure there will be plenty of similar (and ridiculous) stories.

    Thanks!

  2. If North Carolina isn’t a hick town they wouldn’t have fought for the Confederacy during the American civil war.
