3D Chessboard Places King At the Peak

3dchess

Don’t you wish that your chessboard could sometimes be more attuned to the fantasy of an epic battle? This 3D Chessboard by Ji Lee makes your game look more like an epic massacre on a jagged mountain than a head to head clash on a simple plain.

The newly designed 3D terrain adds a completely new dimension to the already classic game of chess. The King looks even less obtainable now that he is set on his own little pedestal with his deadly wife. Totally worth getting excited over.

Who Brings Spikes To A Pillow Fight?

Here’s the kind of pillow you don’t show up to a pillow fight without. Your enemies will flee in terror when they see the bloodied thorns of this spiked pillow. It’s like bringing a gun to a knife fight.

Mercenaries 2 DLC: Palin And Obama Skins

Finally, a reason to give Mercenaries 2 some play time. The most mediocre game, ever, gets a spice of color and “maverickism,” with the ability to take both Sarah Palin and Barack Obama into the field of battle. Hijack tanks, blow up choppers and even slaughter civilians as your favorite Democratic or Republican presidential candidate.

Palin’s facial expressions denote a certain satisfaction when shooting guard dogs, while Barack Obama retains that smug look and calmness while carjacking a military vehicle. I wish a Joe Biden skin was available for download. He’s a bad ass politician I can support!

Battling Bots: Move It Slow Motion For Me

Fighting with DIY robots isn’t anything new. I mean come on, it’s on cable television. However, tearing apart a fax machine with a robot while filming in slow motion is news to me. Peep the video to see robots tearing each other to pieces as well as helpless office appliances and even golf balls getting caught in the crossfire. Watching a Linksys router sit there taking a beating from a blade-spinning bot is like watching a grizzly bear fighting an infant – it’s highly enjoyable.

Go Go Gadget Copter Laser Beam!

dueling space marines

I had the pleasure of getting a hold of a set of these sweet new RC copter-borne marines thanks to a friend of mine. I was skeptical at first glance, as they seemed like any other RC copter I’ve used. Then I actually played with it. It puts other remote-controlled toys to shame. It takes some getting used to, especially aiming the rifle at your friend who sucks just as much as you do at controlling it. The coolest feature is definitely the combat mechanics:

Each shot causes the gun of your space marine to flash with simulated gunfire. The first hit causes your enemy to spin. The second makes the enemy copter lose power… the third cuts rotor power completely as your opponent plummets to the ground and you gloat in victory.

Of course, it’ll take some practice before you become as maverick as I am with these things. I am currently accepting all challenges.
