Since 2012, Apple has been rumored to be aiming to expand its assemblage of mobile devices to the wrist with a smartwatch. According to two people in the know about the company’s plans, Apple Inc. has, since last year, had a team of about a hundred product designers working on the smartwatch project, including managers, members of the marketing group, and software and hardware engineers – the size of the team suggesting that Apple is beyond is experimentation phase and in its development.

Certain sources are claiming that the iPad 3 will hit the consumer market sometime in March. If true, it would mean that the iPad 3 would be released roughly a year after the iPad 2.

A new source in Japan claims that production of the iPad 3 will begin in January of 2012, and that the iPad 3 will be released no earlier than March 2012.

Now that the iPhone 4S has been announced (and released), Apple fans will most likely be focusing their attention on the next update to Apple's product line -- the iPad 3.

The Chinese rumor mill is aflutter today with news about Apple’s alleged new and mini-sized iPad.
