So today was the opening day of the Detroit Auto show, which has all of the biggest releases in the car world of the year, and Suzuki unveiled the Flix Concept. If you saw this car on the street, you would think its pretty normal looking, not counting the weird scoop looking thing on the roof. However, if you stopped it and took a look at the interior, you would be surprised at what you saw. You open the doors to find swivel seats and a beautiful sound system. Then you notice that the roof is rising up, not like a convertible, but in a way youve never seen before. It stops in the vertical position, and that little scoop thing raises up a little too.
Now youre getting it; the Flix has a projector and the roof is actually a screen. Yeah, now youre starting to understand exactly why Suzuki is calling this a Flix. Of course the projector isnt the only thing that impresses you, for upon further inspection you see surround sound and a hi-def DVD player. The guys at Suzuki even went so far as to put running lights as to mimic a movie theater. Now you can only wonder why someone would want to sit in their car to watch a movie, and why didnt Suzuki think of making more comfortable seats, considering most seats in movie theaters arent even comfortable enough for us to sit in for 2 hours. More pictures of the Flix Concept after the jump.
