Newspaper Becomes Wallpaper

There are many kinds of recycling. Some have purpose, others do not. Designer A. J. Bocchino recycled old issues of the New York Times and used headlines from 1990 to 2005 in order to make this colorful wallpaper shown above. He even arranged headlines chronologically, grouping subjects by color coded themes.

The actions of George Bush, Michael Bloomberg, the United Nations, Israel, Palestine, and North Korea, among others, all serve as raw material and influence the structure of my work.

Don’t forget about the editors working for the New York Times. Please Mr. Bocchino, give credit where credit is due. Interested in using a wall in your home as a reminder of all the terrible stuff that’s going on around the world? That’ll cost you $1000 bucks, bub.
