80 GB PS3 officially launched in Korea

After spotting an 80 GB PS3 in the wild at the end of April, Sony has finally launched its new 80 GB PS3 in Korea. The new PS3 also includes a new video on demand service for Korean’s to get their movie fix.

The launch looks to have been a full fledged media party, with many reporters in attendance. The PS3 sells for around $560 in Korea, but these new features seem like a very cool addition to the console. Expect an eventual carry over to the US and Europe.
