Shepard Fairey Book Covers
Shepard is well known for his OBEY campaign and art movement. So it would come as no surprise to most that he’s done two special bookcovers for the next printing of Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm. It really has the commie-style look to it with big, bold graphics that really make a statement. Congratulations to Shepard. Let’s hope he has more covers in the works. Link
Discs That Probably Won’t Fit In Your PC
Unless you’re a giant living inside of a fantasy novel, I highly doubt you’ll be able to fit these over-sized discs into your computer. Part of Thomas Mailaender’s “Items” project, these gigantic storage medias are better fit for dealing blunt force trauma than providing any data usage. And the madness doesn’t stop at storage. The project also features a massive calculator and a pen the size of a child. While Tolkien might be able to find a use for these... Continue reading
Bouncy Giant Foam Cheese Dice: For Use With Cheddar Themed Dice-Tossing RPGs
Sure, RPGing was definitely not the intention of these Giant Foam Cheese Dice (obviously the point was to attract aging gold digger women in casinos), but seriously, how could you not at least wonder what it would be like to play a little DnD with these bad boys? The only problem is that giant dice with only 6 sides is not acceptable. Give us some more options to work with! Each of the bouncy Foam Dice measures 16″ by 16″... Continue reading
Seitz 160-Megapixel Camera Is An Arm Full
Seitz has created a monster. This 160-megapixel 6 x 17 inch camera might be slightly, well who are we kidding, MUCH bigger than your average point and shoot, but at 160 MP, it could create prints the size of Mars. The camera itself looks like it takes an effort to lift. You have to figure it must be pretty heavy. One full res image taken with this Seitz camera will take up 900 MB of storage! That means that the... Continue reading
Haas builds giant treadmill for NASCAR, comments on car obesity epidemic
Just kidding. There is no car obesity epidemic. But there’s indeed a big ass treadmill that was built. That part was as serious as a brain tumor. Haas Automation has created this treadmill in hopes to improve aerodynamics of NASCAR racers. Not the actual racers, like the drivers. We mean the actual cars. Sorry for that misunderstanding. Can we continue? Its 1 mm thick steel belt can rotate at 180 mph. The treadmill also features sensors under the track that... Continue reading
