Which Online Businesses Accept Bitcoin in 2020?

Bitcoin is no longer such a big mystery. The idea of digital currency brought a lot of confusion to people a decade ago when it first came on the scene. But nowadays, those same people praise the efficiency and practicality of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The thing is:

Industries left and right are starting to accept Bitcoin as a payment method as they realize that this type of currency is gaining popularity year after year. And is definitely here to stay. Today, some of the world’s top companies are Bitcoin-friendly, although there are still those who resist and are yet to offer crypto payments to their customers.

So, the real question is:

Which stores in 2020 accept Bitcoin?

Let’s find out.

Online Retail Shops

If you’re eager to spend your bitcoins on some online shopping, you’ll be happy to know that there are dozens of websites that will allow you to do so.

Overstock started accepting Bitcoin back in 2014, and it was one of the first retail shops to get in on the crypto craze. This proved to be a smart move, as it raised the number of its tech-savvy customers who couldn’t wait to use Bitcoin for their online shopping. Apart from Bitcoin, Overstock accepts some other cryptos like Litecoin, Dash, Ethereum, Monero, and Bitcoin Cash.

Shopify was also one of the first ecommerce sites to accept Bitcoin, as they put it on the list of available payment methods back in 2013. Newegg, a very popular online shop for electronic hardware that allows you to buy all sorts of equipment using your bitcoins, including mining hardware itself, also joined the list.

Travel Booking Companies

Booking a flight has never been easier. So, purchasing a plane ticket using Bitcoin makes perfect sense. One of the most popular American flight booking, CheapAir, has Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies available for almost all of their tickets.

Expedia became crypto-friendly in 2014 as well, although they only allow it for hotel bookings for now. Other travel companies that accept Bitcoin include Travala, Destinia, PrivateFly, and More Stamps Global. There are even some companies that specialize in crypto bookings like Bitcoin Travel, TravelbyBit, and CryptoCribs.

Gift Card Shops

Gift card services are never out of fashion, and plenty of them accept Bitcoin in 2020. Gyft is one of those services, and through a simple-to-use Coinbase account, you can purchase gift cards for over 200 online retailers.

This is a great option for online shops that don’t allow Bitcoin transactions for now. Another great gift shop for Bitcoin users is eGift. Through this service, you can buy hundreds of gift cards for just as many stores that only accept fiat currency.

Charity Organizations

It always feels good to give some of your money to charity. Many charity organizations decided to expand their reach and started offering crypto donations on top of existing options for sending money.

The best Bitcoin charities today include the American Red Cross, the Water Project, United Way, and Save the Children.

The Food Industry

Feeling hungry?

You can now have tasty food and beverages delivered to your doorstep by paying with Bitcoin and other cryptos.

Domino’s Pizza, Burger King, and Subway are just some of the popular options. There is also a service that is exclusive to crypto pizza delivery called PizzaForCoins. It’s an intermediary pizza service that lets you choose your favorite local pizza place that doesn’t accept digital currency yet. Apart from Bitcoin, PizzaForCoins is friendly to over 50 other cryptocurrencies.

And on that delicious note – bon appétit and au revoir!
