How to Farm Spoils of Conquest in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is a game that rewards players with various types of currency for their achievements, and one of the most valuable currencies is Spoils of Conquest. Spoils of Conquest can be used to purchase Raid-Specific Gear and Weapons or Exotic Items & Pinnacle weapons from the Monuments to Lost Lights Kiosk in the Tower.

This article will present the methods for obtaining Spoils of Conquest and how to use them effectively.

Spoils of Conquest is a currency in Destiny 2 that can only be obtained when completing raids and their specific challenges. You can store up to 240x Spoils of Conquest in your inventory and Postmaster.

Spoils of Conquest Farm

The Conquest of Spoils farm is pretty straightforward: you need to complete raid encounters and challenges along with the secret chests to obtain spoils.

Raid Encounters & Hidden Chests

Raid encounters are among the most efficient methods for earning Spoils of Conquest. Seven different raids in Destiny 2 drop Spoils of Conquest: Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, Deep Stone Crypt, Vault of Glass, Vow of the Disciple, King’s Fall, and Root of Nightmares.

The best way to get Spoils of Conquest in Destiny 2 is by completing encounters in Raids and loot Hidden Chests. The King’s Fall, Vow of the Disciple, Vault of Glass, and Root of Nightmares Raids will each drop five Spoils for each successful encounter and a further five Spoil per Hidden chest.

All the Legacy Raids will drop three Spoils per encounter and none from the Hidden chest.

If you’re new to raiding or just need a refresher, it’s essential to understand the mechanics of each encounter. You’ll want to make sure you have a good team composition with experienced players who can communicate effectively.

Raids are known for their challenging encounters, which offer unique gear and rewards to players who complete them. However, earning the best loot from these raids often requires a significant time investment, a skilled team, good coordination, and communication. You can get the most out of your game experience by buying Destiny 2 carries, where experienced players help you conquer the most difficult challenges, unlock new gear, and get the best rewards!

Complete Raid Challenges

Completing challenges is another method of farming Destiny 2 Spoils . Challenges are more complex objectives that can be achieved during a raid encounter that provide an extra reward, including Spoils of Conquest.

Challenges usually involve:

  • Completing the encounter in a specific way.
  • Changing the mechanics of the particular raid.
  • Making it harder to achieve.

Challenges are a great way to add extra difficulty and variety to your raid experience. Additionally, they offer an opportunity to earn extra Spoils of Conquest. Each raid encounter has a set of challenges that reset every week, and completing them can make you additional currency.

Where to Spend Spoils of Conquest

The Spoils of Conquest currency can be used at the end of some raids: Deep Stone Crypt, Vault of Glass, Vow of the Disciple, King’s Fall, and Root of Nightmares, where a loot cache/shop spawn after the final encounter and it allows you to purchase weapons or armor.

The price for focusing a specific Weapon or Armor is 20 Spoils of Conquest, while Adept versions cost 25.

Once you’ve earned Spoils of Conquest, you must know how to use them effectively. Spoils of Conquest can be used to purchase raid equipment and weapons from the final boss chest or achieve raid exotic weapons that can’t be acquired from their main activity anymore.

It’s vital to prioritize your purchase based on your playstyle and the raid challenges you’re facing. If you’re struggling with a particular encounter, it might be worth purchasing gear that will help you overcome that challenge. For example, if you’re having trouble with the Atheon encounter in Vault of Glass, buying a sniper rifle or rocket launcher with more significant damage might be worth purchasing to take down the boss quicker.

Additionally, it’s important to note that a raid weapon has unique perks that can be extremely useful in certain situations. It’s worth researching which perks are available on different equipment and weapons to see which would be most beneficial for your play style.

Farm Spoils of Conquest more Efficiently

Focus on completing the weekly raid challenges: Each week, different challenges are available for each raid that offer bonus Spoils of Conquest upon completion. These challenges can be found in the Director under the respective raid activity.

Run raids on multiple characters: You can earn Spoils of Conquest on each character you have, so running the same raid numerous times on different characters can net you more Spoils. This is especially helpful if you have a main character already geared up, as you can use Spoils earned on alts to purchase gear for your main character.

Use LFG to find raid groups: If you don’t have a regular group to run raids with, using LFG (Looking for Group) sites or apps can help you find a group quickly. A coordinated group can help you complete raid encounters more efficiently and earn more Spoils of Conquest.

Best Spoils of Conquest Farming Method

One of the best Spoils of Conquest farming techniques is repeating the Templar encounter in the Vault of Glass raid, and it is a simple encounter requiring no raid knowledge that can be done in a few minutes:

  • Start the encounter by taking the Relic.
  • Use the Super Ability to Destroy the Templar’s shield, and begin the damage phase.
  • The Relic Holder must look around the arena for some red rings (by standing into them, it prevents the Templar from Teleporting) while the rest of the fireteam is focused on damage.
  • Once the Templar is dead, loot the chest and enjoy your rewards.

Another popular method that many players like and consider to be the best farm is The Daughters Encounter in King’s Fall Raid.:

  • A random player receives the Taken Buff.
  • One of the four plates will turn green, stand on the lit plate, and start looking for the floating Brand’s position.
  • Assign a player to stand on the plate where the Brand spawned.
  • Use the Taken Realm plates to reach the brand.
  • Repeat the steps two more times.
  • On the third time, the runner will steal the Brand & cleanse one of the Daughter’s shields.
  • Damage phase starts, group up for the brand buff and eliminate the first daughter.
  • Repeat the same process for the second, and you’re done!

Save the Checkpoint for Efficiency

  • Reach the desired Raid Encounter you wish to farm.
  • Swap Characters.
  • Load up your Alternate Character, invite the team, start the encounter, wipe & switch to your main character.
  • Repeat!

Earning Spoils of Conquest & Raid Loot for a Solo Player

In certain raids, you can open the first secret chest just by finishing the opening encounter such as the Vow of the Disciple and Vault of Glass Raids. Let’s move on to how you can get the first hidden chest in Votd Raid!

Solo Hidden Chest in Vow of the Disciple Raid

The VotD first hidden chest can be acquired solo each week by completing the opening section where you need to destroy the three Darkness Fragments:

  • Second Halt: On the left of a fallen tree branch.
  • Third Halt: Turn left, and the fragment should float in the corner.
  • Fourth Halt: Drive over the bridge, turn around & run through the small gap (under the bridge) to find the final fragment.

After you destroy all fragments, you’ll meet a Darkness Building on the right. The door will be opened, revealing a hidden chest inside. You will receive five Spoils of Conquest by opening it, and you can do it once per character each week.

Other raids require out-of-bounds mechanics to be able to reach them, exploiting the map.

Also, there are methods to farm hidden chests without completing the encounters of a specific raid for earning spoils or additional loot. If you want to see a video guide for all eight chests and how to take them, you can see it here.

Conclusion

Spoils of Conquest are a valuable currency in Destiny 2 that can be earned through raid encounters, challenges, and hidden chests. By earning Spoils of Conquest and purchasing raid-specific gear and weapons, players can improve their performance in raids and tackle even more challenging content with more ease.

With these tips, you’ll be on your way to earning more Spoils of Conquest and improving your overall gameplay experience in Destiny 2.
