Yes, this sleek, gorgeous design element shown to the right is actually a landline telephone.
Designed by Sebastien Sauvage, the Eclipse DECT phone is made to be both functional and aesthetically appealing. As far as its specs, this phone isn’t very high-tech, having most of the same features of most landline telephones.
If you look closely, you can see that the handset of the phone is the top portion of the oval, resting seamlessly on the curved base. These two elements have such a simplistic design, though they have been described as “gorgeous”, “elegant” and “classy”.
With so much tech news focusing on smartphones and portable devices, it’s refreshing to see a company actually go back and reinvent the traditional telephone for a more aesthetically-conscious consumer.
