DIY: Turn an old rotary telephone into DJ headphones

phones_1.jpg

Back in the day of rave parties, it wasn’t rare to see DJ’s using obsure objects to aid them in their mad skillz. This tutorial will show you how to make your own set of telephone headphones. Long distance chargers may apply.
You’ll need an old rotary phone, which you can pick up for almost nothing at your local thrift store, a soldering iron and solder, a mono male phone plug, and a sharp utility blade. Obtain those rare goods and you two can be the master of obscure DJ props. And if you’re not a DJ, your just a wannabe yo. — Andrew Dobrow
