Diablo III is something of a big deal amongst gamers, many of whom still play Diablo II to this day (JW Note: I am one of these people). When it was announced, one of the earliest questions was “will it come to consoles?” Some scoffed at the idea, but it wasn’t entirely without merit; Diablo was ported to the PlayStation in 1998. The question had been floating out there for a while, but now it seems that we have our answer in the form of a job posting:
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communications and project management skills for the Diablo team. The ideal candidate has prior experience in console game development and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts.
While not an official confirmation, all signs point to “Yes” in regards to the earlier question. I, for one, am indifferent towards the news. While I loved Diablo II, it wound up eating entirely too much of my time… like World of Warcraft…
