Blu-ray? More like Blu-rot

blu-ray-disc-rot.jpg

This is a shame. Just when we were finally beggining to believe in some of the hype surrounding Blu-ray discs, we find out that they eventually self-destruct. Ok, well maybe that’s exaggerating just a tad. Though according to some disgruntled Blu-ray owners, the coveted discs are being reported as having a problem with the coating of the discs.

Being dubbed as “blu-rot”, the mould-spots that form on Blu-ray disks after aging a bit, make the disc totally unreadable. If you’ve been having this problem the best thing to do is probably just try to bring it back from where you bought it. If all else fails, you can bitch at Sony. — Andrew Dobrow
