Both Apple and A.R. Rehman are the biggest brands in their own fields. It is very interesting to know see the amalgamation of two of them. Yes, you heard it right Apple music is going to team up with A.R Rahman’s music school to open Mac labs.
But before knowing about the main topic let us know about A.R Rehman and Apple Music.
A.R Rahman
A.R Rahman (Allah-Rakha Rahman) is a song-writer, composer, musician who hails from India. He has been awarded for many of his music compose. Grammy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards are some of the awards which has been earned by him. He has even been awarded by Padma Bhushan. In 2009, he was included in the top 100 most influential people in the world. He made his debut as a director and writer for the film named Le Musk.
Rahman’s career started at early 1990s in his own in-house studio which is in Chennai named as Panchattan Record Inn. He has been also involved in doing charities and donations for number of causes.
He was born in Madras, in India. R.K Shekhar who is father of this great personality was a film-score composer and conductor for the film of Tamil and Malayam.
Apple Music
Development of Apple Music is done by Apple Inc. Apple music is music and video streaming services. In this the user can select a song they want to stream on their devices on demand. You can even listen to the existing songs from your device. Internet radio station Beats 1 which is broadcasted live in more than 100 countries is also included in the services of the Apple Music. The announcement of the Apple Music was done on June 8, 2017 and then it was released on June 30, 2015. It gained great popularity in a very short time span. The increase in the customers was observed at a very short span. This growth was steady which was beneficial for Apple Inc. The original version of iOS of Apple Music got mixed reviews from the critics.
Before Apple Music, iTunes and iPods which are also the creation of Apple Inc. were known for having revolutionized digital music. New users of Apple Music received a free trial subscription for three months. Music industry rejected the plan of entering the market at a lower price which was the idea of Apple. Drake and Apple signed a deal which was the release of the music video “Hotline Bling” which was exclusively released on Apple Music.

Mac labs will be opened by Apple Music who will be collaborating to A.R Rahman’s music school. This upcoming campus will be in Mumbai. These labs will be aiming in helping the students to create music using Apple’s professional music creation app for Mac, Logic Pro X.
10 scholarships are given by the Apple Music for the underprivileged children.
Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet Software and Services at Apple said that it is their privilege to make the announcement of this along with the one of the most talented singers from the India A.R Rahman.
He even said that Apple Music and KM Music Conservatory share a deep love in promoting music. They want to discover, share and nurture music talent and they are very proud in supporting this good work of spreading music and in investing in music community.
A.R Rahman is the founder of KM Music Conservatory which is set up to expand the horizons of musicians. It supports Indian musicians in Western music as well as the music technology. Strong artistic, intellectual and technical foundation is pursued by the students which help them becoming the best music professionals. The training for the same is given in this organization.
A.R Rahman has said in his interview that he has been using Logic Pro very loyally for last twenty years. He is very excited to collaborate with them and is looking forward to keep this legacy moving forward in peace.
