Twitter Prices IPO At $26 Per Share

An announcement today shared that Twitter will begin trading at $26 per share when it goes on sale. This number is lower than some expected but still higher than Twitter’s original estimated range.

With shares costing $26 a piece and with 70 million shares of common stock, Twitter will net $1.82 billion giving the company a valuation of $14.6 billion when based on 545 million non-diluted shares. So just where do those numbers put the key figures of Twitter? Twitter co-founder Evan Williams and his 10.4% stake (not including options) is worth $1.48B. Jack Dorsey’s stake is worth $609M and investor Peter Fenton’s stake sits at $820M. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo? $199M. So who owns the largest stake? Rizvi Traverse, which holds 16% valued at $2.21B. Finally, Union Square Ventures is set to benefit with a $723.8M stake.

Twitter will list on the NYSE under the symbol ‘TWTR’.
