Certain sources are claiming that the iPad 3 will hit the consumer market sometime in March. If true, it would mean that the iPad 3 would be released roughly a year after the iPad 2.

With the purchase of C3 Technologies, Apple now owns three mapping companies, two of which specialize in 3-D mapping technology.

Now that the iPhone 4S has been announced (and released), Apple fans will most likely be focusing their attention on the next update to Apple's product line -- the iPad 3.

Apple confirmed that today, October 5th of 2011, Steve Jobs has passed away at the age of 56. Since Steve announced his retirement as Apple's CEO about two months ago, there has been widespread speculation about his failing health. Rest in peace, Steve. You definitely left the world better and more interesting than when you found it.

At today's press event, Apple unveiled "Siri", an artificial intelligence personal assistant who will be included with the new iPhone 4S.

Tomorrow, Apple will host a media event that will most likely include the announcement of the iPhone 5. There are rumors that a "new" iPod, iCloud and iOS 5 will be announced at the event as well.
