In Our Image: Gamers Compared to Their In-Game Avatars

Photojournalist Robbie Cooper spent three years searching the world for virtual world gamers, photographing them and comparing them to the avatars they created in their respective games. Cooper explores these questions and more in his book [amazon link=”1905712022″ title=”Alter Ego”], exploring the stories behind the avatars. Gaming ultimately allows us to live a life that we can only fantasize about living in the real world. Gaming can be equally entertaining and an exploration of escapism.
