Why should our electronics be the only thing that comes in compact sizes? This Hideaway Desk from Orange22 Design Lab is the compact answer to the office. The entire desk, including chair, fits into a blue acrylic rectangular cube. The company describes the desk as “revolutionary”. While we don’t see a revolution being caused from the Hideaway, it is still pretty cool.
One slight problem though. If you really are stuck on purchasing it now that you’ve seen it, the price might make you double think your decision. The Hideaway is being sold for a brisk $29,921. Recheck the decimal points on that one, you might have read it wrong. Is it worth nearly thirty grand? We’d like to see some proof. We also wouldn’t recommend such an item to a house with children or pets. We don’t want any dead children as a result of this thing. — Andrew Dobrow
