It’s the digital age, where printed material is rapidly becomingobsolete. Love it or hate it, you’re going to have to eventually accept the fact that digital content will eventually become a mainstream thing.
While DC isn’t abolishing their printed comics, they are going to start offering a digital release on the same day as their printed comic releases — starting this Wednesday. The price for digital comics is similar, and will decrease by around $1.00 about a month after release.
The application that’s used to download digital comics from DC is called Comixlogy.
This will be an interesting story to follow, since comic readers are often also “collectors” who hoard printed comics. Will the introduction of digital comics eventually cause printed comics to become unnecessary, or will there always be a need for printed content?
