Now, only two months into 2023, we can see the beginnings of an e-sports schedule emerging. This year, there will be a wide range of exciting competitions, from Call of Duty League to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and more. There will be other important tournaments announced shortly, but as of right now, these are the only ones with confirmed dates and/or venues.

The esports sector has grown rapidly over the last couple of decades, and its success shows no sign of slowing down. So, let’s check out a few of 2023’s most anticipated and prestigious esports tournaments.

1) Valorant Champions Tour Seoul 2023

Valorant is a very popular esports game all over the world, but South Korea is where its popularity has grown the most quickly. That’s why Riot Games has scheduled a VCT Masters event for the South Korean capital of Seoul. Also, Seoul being chosen as the venue implies that it’s going to be the first ever offline VCT tournament to be hosted in the Asian area.

When Korean teams like DRX take the stage in South Korea, the home audience goes absolutely crazy. Top esports betting sites will also likely favor the team cheered on by the local crowd. Korean supporters are enthusiastic about the event and would cheer loudly for any of the competing teams, so there is no need for favoritism.

2) League of Legends Worlds 2023

League of Legends has the most fans out of all the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) esports because it has a World Championship. Top teams from all around the globe gather annually to battle for a large prize fund. The League of Legends World Championships ended on November 6, 2022. In the Tournament Finals, DRX beat T1 with a score of 3-2. The event was a huge success, and the fans were thrilled with how fierce the Best of 5 series was.

No one knows where the event will take place just yet, but multitudes of League of Legends fans from all around the world are sure to show up. League of Legends’ creator, Riot Games, and its sponsors will undoubtedly do a lot to get the word out about the competition. This happens every year between September and November.

3) 2023 Call of Duty League

CDL 2023 is one of the many Call of Duty tournaments that Activision has planned for 2023. Each Major serves as a steppingstone to the next and, ultimately, to the tournament’s title. The 2023 Call of Duty League has 12 teams participating: 10 from the US, one from the UK, and one from Canada, where the Sportsbooks in Ontario will be happy to take your bets.

The matches will be played in a LAN setting, bringing together the best CDL teams from all over the globe. To get the whole community even more pumped up about the next string of events, a full list of specifics was formally unveiled with CDL-featured cosmetics. Every single match will be broadcast live on the official Call of Duty YouTube account, so all fans may watch from the comfort of their own place.

4) Dota 2: The International 2023

Among professional Dota 2 tournaments, Dota 2 International is by far the biggest and most profitable. It’s amazing to compete in these events since The International consistently offers the largest prize pools of any esport. The winning team in the competition will get $25,000,000. Since its debut, this tournament’s prize pool has consistently been the highest in all of esports. The winner of the 2022 tournament, Tundra Esports, took home more than $8,500,000.

As the tournament develops, the stakes get higher, and more viewers check in to watch crucial matches, even if they don’t play the game themselves.

5) CS: GO: BLAST Paris Major 2023

Valve, the developers of CS:GO, or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, hold twice as many tournaments every year as they used to. The PGL Major was held in Antwerp, while the IEM Major was held in Rio, both in 2022. Both events set new records for viewership and were huge hits with eSports betting sites. There will always be millions of people watching a major CS: GO tournament at the same time throughout the world. Valve has announced that the CS: GO Major will continue its winning streak in Paris. As a first for a big event, BLAST will be in charge of organizing the tournament.

While BLAST has never collaborated with Valve to hold a major, the organization has organized many big events alone. Yet, despite not having any official support from Valve, BLAST is widely regarded by CS: GO players as the top tournament organizer in the world. Millions of people across the world are excited for the next BLAST and Valve CS: GO Major to be held in Paris.
