Yoshi and Mario Wall Hanger

yoshiwallhanging

Made using an inkjet printer, sticker labels and a 1/4? foam board, the Mario Riding Yoshi wall hanging design wants to lick you to death, sort of like a sex-addicted prison-escapee, but now with more reptilian spice.

Watch the mustache, I heard it can leave some rug burn.

Turning Japanese: Mario Gets the Jap Art Treatment

mario-bowswer-japanese-art

Just like The Vapors classic 1980 single “Turning Japanese,” I’m fairly confidant that Mario is, in fact, turning Japanese. I really think so.

Created for Uberbook’s Designers Game Remix by Flickr user Xiaobaosg, this Japanese art-themed piece draws inspiration from Super Mario Bros and the Capcom game Monster Hunters. Featured in the print are Mario himself, Bowser and a much scarier looking Yoshi.

Chinese beverage label with crazy Mario clone

_2

If Mario gained double his body weight and if Yoshi grew horn-like ears, you’d have something like the logo on this Chinese beverage label. It’s just hilarious at what lengths companies will go to flee from copyright infringement, but still keep a recognizable symbol. Just look at Mario’s chubby cheeks and his fireman helmet. And poor Yoshi with those things on his head that are supposed to resemble ears, we suppose. What does a fake Mario and Yoshi have to do with the surely tasty beverage? Probably nothing. — Andrew Dobrow
