Listen, this is my room. Which means: if it’s rockin’, don’t come knockin’. Yamaha’s soundproof enclosure, the My Room II, is the ideal solution for noisy surroundings when work has to get done. And by work I mean hot wild sex. No sir, no external distractions here. I’m just banging away in the My Room II, praying that I don’t cause this thing to fall over.

Did I mention how comfortable this room is? For $6,500, it better be because I can’t imagine getting laid in any confined spaces for a cheaper price. A dark alleyway? Maybe. The features the My Room II has over it’s 2004 predecessor, the My Room, impresses me – and my partner. A touch-panel control, air conditioner mounting and reduced construction time makes the My Room II the exemplary locale for a quickie.

Yamaha has been working on an interesting sound delivery technology with their sound systems, they call this the “Sound Beam”, which essentially is a more focused chain of sound wave adjusted to give the loudest intensity to the listener and the listener only. With that, you will still be able to listen to your music at a house party with everybody screaming around, and your music will pretty much not be affected or affect the background music. If you feel like turning up your system to full power in the middle of the night you can definitely do that with these Yamaha Sound Projectors, because the beam will only be focused on to the spot you sit, everybody else in the house should not be affected. These Sound Projectors can still support and reproduce REAL 5.1 channels surround sound (real, not virtual, in one body, yes), it can also make use of the walls and ceilings in your house to have the beams bounce off, the system only takes 3 minutes to optimize itself for your room. We have seen hybrid cars for a while, now we have hybrid bikes. These new Yamaha bikes can store up energy in a Lithium battery when you are cycling, and helps you by releasing power when you are going upslope. This is all done by sophisticated sensors, and by not helping you at all when it detects that you are on flat ground or running down the hill. However, in case you are too tired to cycle back home after a day of work, you can still use the energy saved up from the morning (that is, if you have tried hard enough in the morning), Yamaha claims that it can drive you across a distance of 104km. Of course, these claims are based on lab investigations, in real life it depends on how heavy you are. In Japan, these bikes will cost you between $770 to $1200 depends on which model you pick. — Sam Chan
