Vibrating Bluetooth Wristband Lets Your Phone Say “Hey, I’m Ringing Asshole!”

wristband.jpg

As an iPhone user, I can tell you that the little switch on the side of the phone which puts the Apple device in “silent mode” is very easy to switch unintentionally. Because of this, I have missed calls that could have been a matter of great importance, such as saving the world, or picking up some milk from the store.

The BluAlert Vibrating Wristband shows up on your phones list of Bluetooth devices, and acts as any other hands-free device. When you have an incoming call, the wristband will vibrate, either alerting you that your phone is ringing, or causing your arm to widely spasm. The device will also start vibrating if you walk further than 5 meters away from your phone, which is brilliant for those with bad short term memory. Get yours for £34.95 ($62.91). — Andrew Dobrow

Kronos Watch includes USB Flash Drive: Do you have the time? Yes, and family photos!

kronos_1.jpg

Kronos is a watch designed to pleasure us geek men. The Kronos watch features a USB flash drive integrated into the wristband latch for your convenience. The added feature of the flash drive offers companies a much further reach of prospective buyers. We know we’d be much more liable to buy a designer watch if it were to come with flash memory capabilities.

The Kronos watch was designed by Andrew Willkerson in hopes that it will help people avoid pocket clutter while still enjoying portable memory. The men’s analog watch was made as a design project in a Graduate Computer Modeling class. We give him an A. — Andrew Dobrow

MagnoGrip for the smart Do-It-Yourself’er

magnogrip.jpg

This is a glorious idea. One problem of working on DIY projects is that those damn nuts and bolts that you need to remove are always quietly rolling under the heaviest furniture they can find. A solution could be placing loose nuts (hehe) into a jar or dish, in order to keep them captive. Or you could do it the smart way and get something like the MagnoGrip. We love stumbling over these “why the hell didn’t I think of this” type gadgets.

The MagnoGrip straps on to your wrist like a wristband, but is no ordinary style accessory. As the name might suggest, the MagnoGrip is magnetic. The super duper magnetism holds any loose bolts or screws that you might be working with at the time, to insure a jail break doesn’t occur for the freedom of under the couch. Available for $14.99. — Andrew Dobrow
