There are few things we love more in this world than Star Wars. But, if we were forced to choose one, it’d have to be baked sweets. So, instead of finding something greater than Star Wars, why not get the best of both worlds? Star Wars-themed baked sweets, such as these highly-detailed Yoda and Millennium Falcon cakes, are about as delicious looking as baked goods can get.

With the wisdom of Yoda and the speed of the Millennium Falcon, don’t count on out running any imperial star cruisers. No, not until you’ve had your cake and ate it too - forget it. What a shit joke.

A sad year for comedy, indeed. George Carlin was admitted to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California on June 22, 2008. He was complaining of chest pain upon admission and was known to have a history of cardiovascular issues.  He died later that day at 5:55 p.m. PDT of heart failure at the age of 71.

Ok, the title might be slightly exaggerated and ridiculous, and way over dramatized, but The Wisdom Door does look pretty cool and at least seem like an interesting idea. The Wisdom door is actually a prototype created by Duke University, which will act similar to a key-card door, except the Wisdom Door would open based on biometric technology.

How is this beneficial? Well, it’s more quick, of course. You’d no longer have to stop for a key card or even the usual biometric retinal scan. Nine sensors incorporated into the door are enough to determine the identification. Four of these sensors measure the persons girth and height, and four sensors to determine weight. Details are hazy on how the machine would adapt to big eating holidays such as Thanksgiving. — Andrew Dobrow
