It’s been quite a while since DNA art was first introduced. These days, French company Helys not only lets you order prints of your DNA, but even offers to create a wallpaper for your iPhone featuring your own genetic image.

Helys sends you a DNA test kit in the mail, including a mouth swab for gathering your tasty saliva genes. Once the company creates your 100 dpi DNA image, you’ll receive a stylized genetic image via e-mail. And you thought an image of your fingerprint was unique.

There are many kinds of recycling. Some have purpose, others do not. Designer A. J. Bocchino recycled old issues of the New York Times and used headlines from 1990 to 2005 in order to make this colorful wallpaper shown above. He even arranged headlines chronologically, grouping subjects by color coded themes.

The actions of George Bush, Michael Bloomberg, the United Nations, Israel, Palestine, and North Korea, among others, all serve as raw material and influence the structure of my work.

Whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’re bound to fall in love with these wall decals from Bilk. Splat ‘em on your wall and you’ll have a retro 8-bit Nintendo scene re-enacted right in front of you. You’ll find a Donkey Kong sticker pack in addition to both the original SMB and an “updated” SMB set. They all look fantastic and I’m pretty upset that these weren’t around when I was a kid. Sure, I could shit my pants on command, but Mario is so much cooler.

Daily planning and productivity is a daily struggle for the working man (or women, on those rare occasions). You can create as complex of a calendar as you want, even factoring in the movement of the planets if you see fit; but at the end of the day, you’re still going to want to rip the damn thing to shreds in frustration.

Calendar Wallpaper is an attempt to put your wall to good use instead of covering it in that awful floral pattern that your Grandma wouldn’t be caught dead with on her walls. Having all of your dates and appointments right in your face (as you stare at the wall in desperation) will also remind you of the fulfilling life of meetings and work lunches you have planned. Of course you could always retreat to your shower for relaxation, but even that’s not so safe anymore.
