Time Warner Cable Doesn’t Care About Net Neutrality

We’re fed up.

The cable companies have subjected us to non-stop bullshit over the past 5 to 10 years, depending on your provider. Comcast, RCN, COX, Time Warner and all the others are constantly raising our fees, not offering enough channels in HD and this time around, trying to cap our Internet bandwidth. Time Warner Cable (TWC) has been experimenting with bandwidth metering for over a year now and the results have not been pretty. Though rumors have been swirling around that TWC will offer unlimited bandwidth for $150 a month, nothing has been confirmed.

So you would think that with all this heat on them, TWC would be open to discussing Net Neutrality with the FCC in an effort to appease its users. No dice. Look at this crap:

“Now is not the time, nor is this the appropriate proceeding, to engage in a debate about the need for net neutrality obligations,” two TWC lawyers warned the FCC on Monday. The discussion should stay strictly focused on broadband deployment, the company insists. “Debates in this proceeding about new net neutrality regulations would only divert attention from these important goals, delaying the distribution of funds while generating considerable contention when the Commission should instead be fostering a spirit of collaboration.”

You know what, Time Warner? Spare me your antics. I canceled with you awhile ago for a reason. I’m not coming back and hopefully others will cancel as well before you end up totally fucking them over.

Our Apologies For The Technical Difficulties

Oh boy. Remember the other day how I went off on a rant about Time Warner Cable? Well the technician finally came today and while he got the modem working again, my download speed was ~200kbps and websites just would NOT load. After calling techs and getting hung up on, I called and went to cancel. They kept me as a customer after adding “Road Runner Turbo” to my service, lowering the monthly rate for a 10Mbps line to $29.95 a month and crediting me with $80. They’re also sending out a technician again tomorrow morning in case shit fucks up again.

So, I apologize for the lack of posts. It’s the holidays and next week we’ll be on a reduced schedule. Consider it to be a little bit early this year and thank Time Warner Cable for it. They earned it.

Time Warner Customer Service Rated Worst Ever

I haven’t had working Internet at my home since Sunday morning. Know why? Because Time Warner Cable is pure shit. Their service is horrible but that’s not what I’m even bitching about today. Today, I’m declaring that Time Warner Cable is worse than Comcast or any other company in existence. Why? They outsource their customer service and after 4 calls and hung-up transfers, I finally got a service technician booked.

Why do you put me through such headaches, TWC? No amount of credits in the world can help you now. After you waste money sending a technician out here to fix everything, I’m going to cancel my service right after he leaves and demand you come and pick up your shitty equipment. Unless you give me a fucking year of free service or a blowjob, you’re not getting out of this one.

YOU HEAR ME TIME WARNER CABLE? I AM COMING AFTER YOU FUCKERS!

Over and out.
