Nintendo Is Finally Sick Of Pirates

At long last, Nintendo has taken legal action towards companies developing and distributing DS pirating tools, such as the R5 or R4. Nintendo, backed by 54 game software companies including Capcom, SNK, Taito, Tecmo and Square Enix are filing a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against companies that profit from Nintendo’s losses.

Nintendo stated that this piracy, “is causing severe damage to our company and software makers, and this is something that we cannot possibly overlook.”

Overlooking it for the past four years was a bad idea, Nintendo. Maybe if you cranked out more drinking games, people wouldn’t find the need to steal your software. To be fair, it is easier to download games from home than to drive to your local retail store. Pirates are lazy.

Light Saber Remote Control makes Jedi jealous

light_saber_remote_w.jpg

Remote controls are usually a dime a dozen. A flat piece of plastic with assorted buttons strewn on one side is a nice generic description of most remote controls. The Light Saber Remote Control adds some flavor to the same old, same old. Design company Taito, designed the Light Saber Remote out of sheer spite for the conforming designs of remote controls, while adding a geek enhanced skin of Star Wars fanaticism.

The Light Saber measures 7.87″ in length and contains the same general control buttons you might find on a normal remote control. They come in a selection of either off-white color or a black/off-white color. For only $20, you can own a remote that recently deceased remote control inventor Richard Adler would be proud of displaying. — Andrew Dobrow
