SENZ Umbrellas

senz-1jpg

Here in New York City, when it rains, it pours. The rain comes down, the wind howls at 50 MPH and everything seems to sit still in time as you fight the storm in an effort to get home. If you’re using a cheap store-bought umbrella, chances are it broke 10 minutes ago. The SENZ Storm Umbrella fixes that. Its angular design lets it withstand winds up to 70 MPH and it can even take a beating from hailstorms. At $83, it may seem like an expensive purchase, but look at it as more of a preventive instrument.

Rumor: Blackberry Storm 2 Due In September

storm_wideweb__470x3520

Take this one with a grain of salt considering how away September is, but according to SlashGear, RIM is working on a new version of the Storm for Verizon. The touchscreen device will finally get WiFi in addition to fixes that will fix issues that plagued the original Storm. Obviously, Blackberry App World will be included but that’s about the extent of the details right now. I’m going to assume that RIM will take the opinions of first-time Storm consumers and put them to good use when designing the next-gen Storm.

Or at least we’ll pray that’s what’s going to happen.

Inside The Blackberry Storm

The team at PhoneWreck has gone and done something that no other Verizon Wireless subscriber dare not do: dissect the Blackberry Storm bit by bit. Head on over for the full review to find out what that crazy new “clickscreen” looks like under the hood. From what I can gather, it looks like the screen uses a single button to recognize typing movements. And take a look at that huge stepper motor for vibration functions; it’s huge! Anyone who likes getting inside popular electronics should most definitely view the Storm from the inside out.

Blackberry Storm Pricing Leaked

Over on Howard Forums, a cellphone forum I stopped going to years ago, some kind stranger was nice enough to leak a screenshot of some placeholder pages on Verizon Wireless‘ website. The Blackberry 9530 Storm is going to cost $219 with a two-year contract and a killer $519 if you decide to pay month-to-month. A one-year contract upgrade will net you the Storm for $289. If you want the Storm, I’d say this is your best bet.

Don’t get me wrong. These screens could very well be doctored or ’shopped, but for now, it’s nice to have a little more information on Verizon’s upcoming iPhone killer.

Blackberry Storm Photos Leaked

While we’re not going to dive into the details of the much anticipated Blackberry Storm (Verizon’s iPhone rival), we definitely wanted to share these pics with you. For once, it appears Verizon will have an awesome phone to offer customers, a first for the company. With an touchscreen interface like the Storm’s, I think Apple has a serious competitor to the iPhone on its hands. If you want complete details on the Storm, hit this Verizon website up for details.

And You Thought TokyoFlash Was Bad

Just when you thought the Infection or the Negative were hard-to-read watches, in comes Storm’s Ambition wristwatch. It’s just a bunch of slits in a slab of metal. That is, until you power it up and the time shines through like the LEDs from your 1988 alarm clock. The Ambition comes in silver, black, brown or red finishes and retails for about $160. Not too shabby and not too crazy. Just the way we like it.
