Outer space is filled with things we’ll never know about. Beautiful objects swirling around in the fiery cosmos. How poetic.

Luckily, we have half-decent scientists here in America (and some OK ones from Britain) who used the Gemini North and Keck telescopes at the Mauna Kea observatory in Hawaii to explore outside our solar system. After a little digging, they found a planet orbiting the star known as Formalhaut. With the discovery of more planets in an entirely different solar system, the possibility to find another Earth totally exists. One day, we’ll be able use intergalactic travel to emulate our Spore fantasies.

Whenever I’ve met a celebrity in real life, the most striking thing about them is usually how odd it is to see them in a real-life perspective. We’re so used to seeing them on the big screen, that it’s hard to believe that you can be taller than some of these people.

The Who Tall Are You? Mirror ranks your height along with well-known celebrities, allowing you to see who you’re taller than, and who’s the same height. I, personally, never knew that Kid Rock was only an inch or so shorter than Michael Jordan. I’m probably closer to Ben Stiller’s height. Ever wish you could stare up at the sky and see the stars move, without having to track one specific star for hours on end? This excellent time-lapse photo shows the movements of the stars through a full night, and we don’t mean in some artsy-fartsy design sort of way.

The finished product looks like a tunnel or worm hole has opened and ripped its way through the heavens. Good thing the photographer had a clear and cloudless night. Excellent and intriguing shot. Everybody, it’s time to take a break from hacking your Xbox 360 to do things that make Microsoft want to cry. Take a break from adding that new HDTV tuner and gather around. Look at these shoes! Run Athletics is making an attempt at broadening its target market with these awesome Nintendo gaming shoes. These sweet kicks have a very clean design that allows them to look like some normal, stylish shoes if you don’t pay too much attention. But if you do take to time to get up-close, you will find that there are tons of Nintendo characters in blue, and the iconic Mario “M” on the tongue of the shoe. See those stars? Just think of the music, you know, the invincibility music that lets you run around killing every turtle and goombas in your sight. Every time you looks at your new shoes, you can hear that sweet sound. As said before, these shoes don’t stand out as being particularly hideous like so many other things that companies try to do to appeal to gamers.
