TAG RESULTS FOR: starcraft

There have been two, count ‘em, two awesome infographics released in the past few days which illustrate almost anything you’d want to know about Starcraft, Starcraft economy and Starcraft’s effect on gaming culture, specifically Korean culture. After the jump, check out these two awesome infographics. So much Starcraft trivia, it hurts. But it hurts so good.

You know what they say about stop-motion? Each minute of footage takes about 6-7 hours to film, give or take. Sure, it’s labor intensive. I’ll give them that. Based on the iconic design of the Terran’s Battlecruiser unit in Starcraft, this LEGO brick piece of sci-fi gaming culture was created by Flickr user Jerac. While World of Warcraft is the king of the MMORPG world and Starcraft is busy keeping people in Korea busy, sometimes a little change can be good. According to the Internets, Blizz is working on a brand new franchise that will be released in MMO-form. Looking for details or a release date? Don’t hold your breath. They’ve still got Starcraft II and Diablo III in the works. Link

While Halo Wars continues to be developed in the dark, a new video has popped up showcasing some beautiful cut scenes as well as game play. Does it look like a Starcraft killer? No, but it looks fun as hell building bases and riding warthogs around like a drunken sailor. I’ll hold my judgment for when a playable demo comes out. Link

With the long awaited Starcraft sequel on its way from Blizzard, we should be seeing more and more of these Starcraft fanboy projects popping up, like back in the good ole days of Starcraft on Battle.net. These Starcraft Origami pieces were made by a South Korean Starcraft fan. We will be eagerly awaiting instructions on how to fold our own.
