3376949030_8bc9bf3d33jpg

Have a spending problem? Recession got you in a pinch? Go grab your wallet and your iPhone and I’ll teach you how to kill two things with one stone.

Grab two credit cards from your wallet, preferably the two that still need to be paid off. Good, now get some scissors ’cause you’re cutting these fuckers up. Follow the instructions from TheCase’s Flickr gallery and you’ll have a portable, wallet-sized iPhone stand in no time. No longer will you have to get your hands all sweaty while watching a movie; just whip out your stand and throw down. And your debt? Well, you still have to pay that off but at least now you won’t acquire any more of it.

My Head Hurts, Turn Off The Light

This table lamp designed by Alexander Lervik might look like just an ordinary lamp modeled after the human brain, but it’s so much more to Mr. Lervik. It’s called MYBrain and interestingly enough, it is Alexander Lervik’s brain. OK, it’s not his actual brain but it’s as close as it ever will be while propped on a stand, having light illuminating from it.

The lamp is based on the artist’s real brain after an MRI scanning and processing through a 3-D printer. He’s lucky that 3-D printer didn’t turn his brain into a Little Lamp, otherwise all his colleagues would be poking fun.

The Kegstand Makes Keg Transportation Easier

How many times have you made a keg run for a frat party and forgot to grab a bin for the ice? Plenty I’m sure. No need to worry, though. This concept system called The Kegstand looks to change the hassle of setting up a party keg. You place the filled keg on a stand that has wheels, allowing for easy movement of the keg. For the ice, a removable cover slides over the keg and attaches to the stand. The result? Cold beer, good times and almost zero hassles. Just don’t throw it out the second-story window when it’s kicked.

Clear the Clutter: LowKey Computer Stand

lowkeystand1

Those of you who recently bought a new iMac are probably in love with it. However, I think you’ll agree that unplugging and plugging in USB devices left and right can become a pain in the ass. Enter the LowKey Stand, a stand that matches the iMac in both looks and usability.

On the front, you’ll find room to store that brushed aluminum keyboard as well as a 4-port USB hub. Having those extra USB ports in the front will prove a lifesaver for those of you with one too many cocks. The only downfall with the LowKey Stand is that it can support 35 pounds max, so don’t go throwing your CRT monitor on there. $60 and it’s yours.

Keeping Your Camera Level With The iPhone

figure2.jpg

If you’ve ever been into photography, you know that composition plays a major part in determining whether your shot turns out just right, or ends in the trash pile. While you can buy a level at your local hardware store which will ensure your camera is sitting on a straight plain, now there is an iPhone-led alternative.

Photographer Ben Long whipped up an iPhone app called iLevel which uses the phones built-in accelerometer to determine whether the phone is laying on flat, or at a angle. Strapping an add-on to your camera stand of choice allows for your mobile device to act as you very own level to ensure a winning shot everytime. — Andrew Dobrow

A Bike Stand That Pumps You Up

bikestand_pump.jpg

How about a little product integration to light up your day? Spotted over in the drug-lovin’ Netherlands, this stainless steel bike stand integrates an air pump right into the mix, hopefully causing some interaction between neighbors as they pump up the wheels to their hot rods.

Eight of these bad boys will be installed around Ypenburg, a newly built town. Apparently marijuana use not only affects hunger, but motivation to get your on air pump as well. — Andrew Dobrow

Possibly the world’s smallest camera stand

stand.jpg

More and more people are taking pictures nowadays thanks to the invention of digital cameras, the biggest reason is that pictures come out free, you don’t have to print all of them, and you can always delete the ones you don’t like, as oppose to traditional film camera systems where you have to pay for ever press of the shutter key.

If you own a DC then it is not uncommon that you’ve experienced blurry photos in low light conditions, or you’ll be in situations where nobody’s around to hold the camera for you. In that case, you would need a tripod… or something to hold up the camera, Tripods are too big, and the small ones are just not very attractive, so somebody designed this mini-camera stand, made of plastic and nothing fancy. It claimed to be the world’s smallest camera stand, and it will fit into the standard tripod anchorage hole below most cameras. It is so small that you don’t have to take it off to fit into your protective pouch. This tiny camera stand is already on sale in Japan now for just a few bucks. –Sam Chan

A third hand holding the Nintendo DS bottoms up

DS_hand2.jpg

The good thing about Nindendo DS is that it invents a new way of gaming, using a stylus and looking at 2 screens at the same time, the bad thing about that is you would need to hold the device with one hand and the stylus with the other. If you happened to be doing this for hours, your hands will go fatigue, some would put the DS on a desk and continue playing, and some would simply stop playing. Hori Japan is selling this stand that can hold the DS horizontally and vertically, the best part is that it sticks pretty well to any smooth surface, meaning that you can still use it lying on your bed (as pictured above). The Playstand DS Lite is being sold for 10USD in Japan now. More pics after the jump.
