I don’t have a problem with Meerkats. They are a fine animal and an all-around interesting species. I just don’t see their place in the Star Trek universe. But, hell, why the heck not, right?

I thought I was really into Star Trek. I have every episode from the original series and TNG as well as many articles of clothing and a beer bottle opener shaped like the Enterprise. However, Bob Prior’s passion and fanboy-ism for Star Trek far surpasses my own. He’s created Star Trek replicas from Rice Krispies boxes. From Kirk to Picard, Spock to LaForge, Bob has created over 50 models which include the Starship Enterprise, its command bridge and captains James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard. The funniest part of the whole thing is that his wife hates the show but has been putting up with his obsession all these years.
Says Bob:
“I’ve made models from the start – right through Deep Space Nine, Voyager and the films up to First Contact.”
Deep Space Nine? Ew! Now I know for sure he’s suffering from dementia.
I’m all about Spock. Which is the main reason why I was attracted to these LEGO mosaics. They come in many different flavors including Star Wars, Mad magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman and even Adam West as Batman. Etsy member Motion5 sells these works of art for prices ranging from $50 to $400.
He also takes high resolution shots of his work that any idiot with half a brain could duplicate. Don’t get me wrong, the art is impressive but these screenshots are so detailed that I have the schematics for the art right in front of me. Hell, I could probably make one in Bricksmith.

As publicity stunt for the release of Star Trek Seasons 1, 2 & 3 on Amazon.com, CBS put this ad online that shows Spock, from Star Trek, hanging with Kirk on the Enterprise while mixing up some Vulcan rhythms that are so fly, your ears will turn pointy. Bust out the beers, grab the Enterprise bottle opener, it’s time to get down.
Star Trek fans will be happy to know that the original Star Trek movie’s Spock Spacesuit is up for grabs on eBay. The spacesuit was featured prominently in the Star Trek first movie when Spock leaves the “Enterprise” to perform a mindmeld with the “V’Ger Probe”. The suit itself has a interesting display of ridges and rivets over the knees, elbows, chest, and waste on the orange, brown and white fabric. And it’s pack full of sci-fi nostalgic fandom. The costume is not in perfect condition as over the years of its long storage, the orange coloring has bled some into the white fabric and padding has collected at the ankles and cuffs.
