I’m no stranger to furniture made from recyclables. After all, I write about it all the time and I just so happen to sit on my ass for the same duration. Upon seeing Ryan Frank’s design, pictured above, I immediately thought of how comfortable it would be to pass gas while sitting in it. Well, more comfortable than doing so in a chair made from a tire or a wooden stump.

I mean, this thing is made entirely of used plastic bags. The seat itself is made from recycled aluminum, but the plastic bags are what give the chair character. Break wind while sitting in this thing and you’ll float away in more ways than one.

No, really. These seats are just coincidentally named Poufman, they’ve got nothing to do with the classic Namco game, Pac-Man. No relation at all. Hell, these seats aren’t even inspired by Pac-Man one bit. If anything, Pac-Man is inspired by these seats.

The designers of Italian company QAYOT were clearly eating a slice of pizza when they spawned the creation of this luxury furniture.  One of the designers took out a slice and was like, “Whoa, Poufman!” And that’s how Poufman was born. It wasn’t until later that the company heard tales of Pac-Man’s existence. So, it can’t be considered an infringement on the trademark established by Namco back in 1980. Or can it?

My woman says she’d do anything for me. Just to prove this point, I’m thinking about whipping up my own Strap-On Chair. If she’ll act as my own personal mobile piece of furniture for me, I can just about prove that she’d do most anything for me.
