T-Mobile Sidekick Gallery

So I grabbed the DSLR and a FedEx box and went crazy. Here’s a bunch of pics of the new Sidekick, as well as the new Sidekick being compared to a Sidekick LX for scale. Enjoy!
T-Mobile Launches New Sidekick

As you probably saw, T-Mobile has launched it’s latest Sidekick device. Also known as the “2008″ model, the new Sidekick is probably the best yet. I’ve spent the past few weeks messing with one and it’s like a scrunched-up Sidekick LX with easy-to-hit buttons. I’ll have a full review for you guys next week, as well as a huge photo shoot tomorrow (or possibly today). So keep your eyes peeled for that shit.
After the jump, the full specs on the new Sidekick, as well as a few pics. Be sure to hit the Link up so you can vote on my Sierra Nevada-edition SK08!

T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 Skins From Skin It

T-Mobile was kind enough to send me the new Sidekick 2008 model early so I could spend some time getting acquainted with it. Lately, T-Mobile has really been ramping up Sidekick production with models like the Slide and LX. The 2008, the latest model, isn’t vastly different than the Sidekick LX. It’s a little smaller, which is a major issue as it makes using it much easier. Battery life still sucks and the camera is improved a bit but is still lacking a quality CMOS chip.

Cellphones, Charities and Extreme Sports
We talk about all three of the above topics here at Gearfuse. What better way to merge them all together than a charity auction being held for the Tony Hawk Foundation? If you head over to eBay right now, you’ll find the mother-load of charity auctions that features a DUB Edition Jeep Wrangler customized for Tony Hawk, VIP tix to the sweet Boom Boom Huck Jam tour and a Tony Hawk Edition Sidekick LX.
So to review, you’ll be getting a sweet:
-Tricked out Jeep Wrangler with massive DUBs and other goodies
-Pair of (VIP!) tickets to a sick skateboarding/extreme sports show
-A tricked out Tony Hawk Edition Sidekick LX from T-Mobile
-Pass to meet Tony Hawk before the show (see above)
This is pretty much as good as an auction gets for the 18-25 age group, of which I happen to fall into. Right now the bidding is at $45,100, so make sure your Paypal account is loaded. Hit the link for the auction and your chance to make a kid’s life better via the Tony Hawk Foundation.
T-Mobile Unveils Tony Hawk Sidekick LX

T-Mobile has announced yet another themed Sidekick device. This time, skateboard legend Tony Hawk will be taking the reigns of the design team, creating a communications device that’s bound to please teenagers everywhere. Aside from the cool, blue graphics on the screen, the bottom of the device will have a grip-tape-like surface similar to that of a real skateboard. There’s even 8 miniature screws shoved in there to emulate a set of trucks being screwed in to a deck.
On the software side, you’ll find a special Tony Hawk theme full of graphics, wallpapers and videos – all exclusive of course. Looks aren’t the only thing this Sidekick LX will have – T-Mobile is taking this opportunity to release a new version of the OS the Sidekick uses, which will include video capture and sharing. Perfect for those hot summer days of shredding in the park. Hit the jump for another shot of the new LX.
