While I’m not one to feed the rumors, there’s just too much hype to ignore the upcoming large-screen Kindle from Amazon. Check out these pics of the upcoming “Kindle DX”. It supposedly will have a 9.7-inch display and is geared towards textbook use. I was thinking about the whole textbook strategy and it could really propel Amazon into the stratosphere. Imagine college students carrying around a single Kindle with all their books on it. Such a lifesaver! Let’s wait ’till tomorrow though and see what Amazon is going to do.

Been wondering how the Palm Pre is going to look? After all, how could it possibly rival the GUI of Apple’s epic iPhone? Well, I suppose Palm could blatantly copy Apple’s style of menus and what not. Yeah. In fact, I think I’m going to go with that as my final answer. This thing looks like a cheap hunk of shit so far.

The Pixelation forum came up with a neat contest for it’s users. They poked at the question, “what would modern games look like on an original Gameboy?” They ask their users to re-create screenshots of their favorite modern games in pixelated Gameboy-form.

You’ll find games like Guitar Hero, BioShock, ICO, Okami, Sam & Max, Flashback (not so modern but very cool) and so many more. Needless to say, we’re very impressed with some of the images their community has come up with. Kudos, guys. The forum is now holding a contest for user’s to make their own Mega Man level, with the only restriction being the graphical limitations of the original NES games. Show ‘em what you got.

Seemingly verified through insider information, sources have confirmed that these screenshots have been leaked from the alpha testing phase of the World of Warcraft’s newest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. The new expansion will add a new class, the first hero class, the Death Knight, to the WoW world, as well as a new profession called Inscription, new PvP options, plus the new continent of Northrend.

The following screenshots are leaked images from the recently commenced alpha testing, as well as a screenshot of the actual alpha loader itself. This first peek gives us an early sneak peak of the new environments, as well as some of the new enemy races which Blizzard has in mind for game play. Sorry, no Bard class in sight fools. Blizzard has added two new screenshots to their collection for the WoW expansion, Wrath Of The Lich King. If you ask me, these new shots don’t look too different from many locations already available on the game, but it’s always nice to see new material and landscapes, regardless of repetition.

These new screenshots come only a few days after more info about the Death Knight class was revealed. I like that they’re gradually revealing more. It means the release is getting closer. (more…)
