T-Mobile G1 Sells Out Completely

It’s no secret that we’ve been paying quite a bit of attention to the T-Mobile G1 as of late. We’ve watched as the anticipation has built around the phone and while we expected it to have a strong showing against the iPhone, we never dreamed the G1 would get this big. T-Mobile is reporting that it’s sold out completely of the 1.5 million pre-order units that were available. Not too shabby considering it was only sold online and in areas where 3G service is available. I guess this truly shows there’s strong support for an Android-based phone.

LEGO Mosaics Found On Etsy

I’m all about Spock. Which is the main reason why I was attracted to these LEGO mosaics. They come in many different flavors including Star Wars, Mad magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman and even Adam West as Batman. Etsy member Motion5 sells these works of art for prices ranging from $50 to $400.

He also takes high resolution shots of his work that any idiot with half a brain could duplicate. Don’t get me wrong, the art is impressive but these screenshots are so detailed that I have the schematics for the art right in front of me. Hell, I could probably make one in Bricksmith.

Get ‘em While They’re Hot!

If you go to Mets games frequently enough (season tickets, weekly plan, etc.), then you’ll be happy to know you’re entitled to purchase an authentic set of seats from Shea Stadium. It’s an exciting opportunity that will cost you $869 for a pair of seats but worth much more to the true baseball fan. Green, red, blue and orange seating will be available as of today. If you don’t catch the Mets frequently but still want to plunk down your hard-earned cash for some seats, don’t fret: August 25th at 9 AM is when you get your shot. Too expensive? Skip the seats and settle for shoes.

All proceeds will go to the Mets Foundation, a charity that funds and promotes “a variety of charitable causes, including educational, social and athletic programs for young people in the community.”

Need a Copy of Windows XP? Tough.

Today marks the end of an era. Microsoft will officially stop selling its hit OS, Windows XP, today. Sure, you can still get it via a shady OEM PC through Dell or HP but for the rest of us who just want a boxed copy, we’re out of luck. The move comes as Microsoft looks to shift its customers over to Vista, which I’m pretty sure no one enjoys using except gamers with mind-blowing systems using it only for DX10.

You can still get full technical support for XP through ‘09 and limited support until - wait for it - 2014. Yup. Six years from now and probably two flavors of Windows later, businesses will still be using XP and getting kernel panics.

One Red Paperclip Guy Selling House

What a piece of shit. Remember that pig fucker who traded a small red paper clip for a house and blogged about the entire process? Well now he’s selling the house or trading it for something really good. Looking for a house in Canada? You have until July 11th to buy it or trade something for it.

The worst part about all this is that apparently, the house is a tourist attraction. Therefore it becomes your job to constantly invite people into your home for no profit. Sounds like a dream come true.
