Turn an Unused PC Slot Into a Safe Drawer

pc-slot-safe-drawer

Now this is a great idea. A great idea that I didn’t think of first? Now that doesn’t happen everyday. But for this idea, I must concede defeat, as I would never have thought of such an ingenious space saver. Wait a second, I take that back, I so thought of this first. Yeah… totally did.

The PC Drawer and Locking Safe fills your empty PC slot with a little safe drawer to keep all of your co-workers / family members from stealing all of your damn paper clips. It’s not the cost so much as the fact that they never ask! It’s the principle of the thing.

LEGO Safe Won’t Protect from Sledge Hammer, Children Over Six

legocombinationsafe

It’s a brick world, baby. But some gadgets, believe it or not, are better left un-brick-ified. While this LEGO Safe looks killer, I sincerely doubt that it would do much good protecting your valuables. The most I would store in here is maybe a few other LEGO bricks, some spare change, perhaps you could throw your stash in as well.

Despite its fragility, this is one awesome piece of work. Check out the video after the jump to scope out the safes intricacies. Even cooler? You can make your own. Yes, kids. There is a step-by-step DIY tutorial.

A LEGO Mindstorms Safe

We’re in dire need of some new LEGO stories here at Gearfuse, so be sure to send us some tips. In the mean time, check out this awesome LEGO Safe. It features a working electronic lock and weighs 14.3 pounds, making it quite the usable safe. It uses the LEGO Mindstorms NXT system, allowing for a fully programmable safe. Of course, if you really wanted your roommate’s stash inside, you’re probably better off introducing it to a crowbar.

End Table Defense System For The Warrior Class

For all of the people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, this is the perfect home security option. An end table that breaks down in to a blunt weapon and wooden shield that’s perfect for fending off home invaders or orcs. James McAdam created the Safe Bedside Table in an effort to aid the thousands of people who can’t get to sleep at night without some form of self-defense at hand.

It looks like it’ll pack quite the walloping and it’s a nice piece of furniture to boot. Just hope that intruder isn’t wielding a firearm.

Iceberg Lettuce Safe Keeps Thieves Guessing

There’s no better way to hide your drugs or your money from burglars and Feds than the lettuce safe. No one would ever suspect the vegetable sitting so innocently at the bottom of your fridge to contain hidden treasures. Priced at a hundred dollars, this head of lettuce looks and feels like the real deal, except the bottom snaps off to reveal a secret hiding place.

They also make a kaiser roll safe for the same price. But, now that it’s posted all over the Internet, it’s not fooling anyone. Still, an ideal way to protect cash, jewelry and other valuables while at home or away.

Sentry In-Floor Safe: Put the goods right under the thieves nose

sentry 7250 in-floor safe

Forget the boring custom of hiding your stuff in a safe behind a painting. Protect your possessions with the Sentry In-Floor Safe. You can trust us in saying that some two-bit criminal is not going to have the mental capacity to check under his feet for something of value. They’re going to want to grab what they can and run. So instead of trying to hid your gold bullion and ore in a customary place, add a little unique kick to your security with the four numbered combination under ground safe. And don’t you worry about those pesky floods you have. This baby is a waterproof barracks with contoured handles. A clever addition to any home. — Andrew Dobrow
