How Many Chest Compressions Is It Again? Check The Blanket

Survival equipment doesn’t come in a more affordable price than the Heatsheets Survival Blanket. At $6, this blanket takes survival gear to the next step, killing two birds with one stone. Not only does it come in a bright orange color with a reflective stripe so airborne rescuers can spot you from long distances but it also reflects up to 90% of body heat, so you don’t end up like those folks who went too far north during their Oregon Trail campaign. It’s easy to adorn as well and doesn’t require labor to set up like the testicle-like cocoon survival shelter.

But perhaps the best part about it is that survival and first-aid instructions are printed directly on the blanket, because we all know how heavy those survival books can be. With this blanket, you’ll never forget how to do correct CPR and you won’t need to carry an extra peripheral that does CPR for you. That’s a life saving deal, right there.

Seascout Aquatic Rescue Robot Won’t Leave You Stranded

Shipwrecked? No worries. I’ve got this Seascout aquatic rescue robot. It replaces all the bikini-clad Baywatch babes you wished would rescue you. Pamela Anderson can’t swim in hazardous conditions even with flotation devices, but Seascout can.

The idea is that anyone stranded in the water could use a GPS tracker to summon the rescue robot to come scoop them up and bring them safely to shore. With internal lighting, a sunroof and a radio system, your rescue shall certainly be a pleasant one. Listening to REO Speedwagon after a near-death experience is the first step in recovery they say.

Water Rescue Craft For The Stranded

Being stranded on an island of ice off the coast of Alaska is a total buzz kill. Luckily, Vince had the iceRESC water rescue craft to save us. Otherwise, I’d most likely be drinking my own urine for nourishment.  With caterpillar tracks for easy travel in water as well as over ice, this rescue craft is far from diverse without the ability to fly.

Every second counts in rescue missions and although the iceRESC can fold up into a compact size perfect for portability, it still doesn’t remedy a stranded rock climber without flight capabilities. Slap a rotor on that bitch and maybe we’ll talk.

Giant insect spider robot from outer space…we mean Earth. Sorry FBI

This spider robot looks a lot scarier than it really is. In fact, it might save your life. The Ellos RescueBot is designed to reach untraversable areas where humans can’t squeeze their meager two legs into, sort of like the Amoeba Bot. The damage resistant robot is a perfect example of Asimov’s laws of robotics. It saves you without getting hurt.

Its main standout feature is 10 lifting arms on its bottom. When it reaches its target, the legs extend, closing around the subject in need of some spider saving. Spiderman might just have met his match. (more…)
