Everyone Knows LEGO Figures Smoke Pot and Play Jazz

Or at least I’m assuming that’s the deal with Michael Jasper’s jazzy LEGO creation, which features Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon jamming out. My favorite part, aside from the well-crafted instruments, is the hair and face of the bass player. Look at that blonde doo! And that smile is too devilish for words.

They must have that reefer madness that’s been going around town.

Morphine And THC Combo Makes Super Painkiller

Morphine relieves pain. THC gets you high as a kite. Combine them together and what do you get? A drug that relieves pain but also gets you high as a kite. Joseph Holtman and Peter Crooks at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky have taken the initiative by working on a practical application further proving marijuana’s potential as a powerful medicine.

They’ve come up with a profound solution to decreasing morphine doses thus reducing risk of dependency and addiction. Their solution: put some weed in it. It turns out that the psychoactive drug in marijuana, THC, enhances the painkilling effects of opioids such as morphine. This is good news for those in pain for any number of reasons or hemp necklace wearing stoners who smoke the peace pipe.

Marijuana Is A Powerful Medicine

Scientists have thoroughly proven that marijuana can be used to treat pain, inflammation, atherosclerosis, and osteoporosis thanks to a chemical found in the plant called beta-caryophyllene.  When smoked, this pushes a biological button, which then soothes the immune system, increases bone mass and blocks pain signals.

Since beta-caryophyllene may prove quite beneficial for users, the chemical itself could become an ideal  medication. This could lead to it being developed in pill-form, severing its connection with cannabis and becoming a standalone medication that won’t have you hearing the magic chord. Wait…this is supposed to be good news?
