The MacBook for Pirates

apple-crossbones

Soon to be quarantined after the nasty scabies epidemic, this MacBook for Pirates features a special Apple and crossbones logo design courtesy of Etsy user LastFuse (name thief that they be), selling their decal for only $2.50.

If the parrot, hat and eye patch didn’t tip them off, this decal sure will.

Argh, matey. Grab yourself a brisk pint of ale, a brand new pet parrot and get ready to take to the sea. Part of the New Math series by Craig Damraurer, this shirt merges math with the our scientific definition of a pirate.

If we’ve done the math correctly, this awesome Pirate equation shirt is right up your gangplank. Grab yours, in sizes up to 2XL, for $20. Pirate + math x shirt = awesome. Pirates > Ninjas.

Is Universal Buggin’?

Nothing is for free in this world. Unless of course you work for Universal and get free screenings. Then of course you try to sell DVDs of your shiesty recordings during the screenings. That’s the reason behind Universal Pictures canceling all non-executive employee screenings until further notice. According to Nikki Finke’s source:

“…some dumb fuck pirated Wanted at one of the lower lot venues.”

A Universal insider claims “some dumb fuck” shat in the apple pie for the rest of the employees and they’ve lost one of their few employee perks because of it. Though Universal itself says that the incident was not the reason that the employee screenings were shut down, it’s a little mysterious when a warning is shown during a screening of Hellboy 2. Verdict: Universal’s buggin’ out.

Nintendo Is Finally Sick Of Pirates

At long last, Nintendo has taken legal action towards companies developing and distributing DS pirating tools, such as the R5 or R4. Nintendo, backed by 54 game software companies including Capcom, SNK, Taito, Tecmo and Square Enix are filing a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court against companies that profit from Nintendo’s losses.

Nintendo stated that this piracy, “is causing severe damage to our company and software makers, and this is something that we cannot possibly overlook.”

Overlooking it for the past four years was a bad idea, Nintendo. Maybe if you cranked out more drinking games, people wouldn’t find the need to steal your software. To be fair, it is easier to download games from home than to drive to your local retail store. Pirates are lazy.

TV combo and DVD player for the real Pirates

pirates.jpg

If you happened to be a fan of the Pirates of Caribbean movie and sick of all those stupid costumes & party balloon packs, you might be interested in this new line of home electronics offered by Runa Japan based on the movie. The retro 14″ CRT TV (with DVD below) is going to look hot in your room, your friends should be really impressed with the compass-like remote controller which looks very user unfriendly, you can also spend money on the steering-wheel looking stand-up DVD player. If you that’s not enough to wow your kids, you can also pick up the CD boombox which looks like a treasure chest.

Expect to see some of these electronics by mid May at downtown Japan. The TV, DVD player and CD boombox are priced at $260, $110 and $70 respectively. –Sam Chan
