The MacBook for Pirates

apple-crossbones

Soon to be quarantined after the nasty scabies epidemic, this MacBook for Pirates features a special Apple and crossbones logo design courtesy of Etsy user LastFuse (name thief that they be), selling their decal for only $2.50.

If the parrot, hat and eye patch didn’t tip them off, this decal sure will.

Nintendo Strikes Back

Sorry to burst your bubble, pirates, but it seems that Nintendo’s next handheld unit will block flash carts used for pirating games. It took Nintendo a long enough time to take legal action against the creators of such flash carts as the R4 or N5, now it’s making damn sure that no one is going to illegally emulate its games.

The following flash carts are confirmed not to work on the Nintendo DSi:

Fallout 3 Xbox 360 Version Leaked

Just a few days after going gold, Fallout 3 has leaked on to the Internet. While it may seem to be one of the worst console piracy cases of the year, so far it has yet to reach the controversial level that Spore has had and Bethesda has yet to make an official statement regarding the leak.

So far, only the Xbox 360 version has been leaked. Meaning, you’ll have to heavily mod your console after downloading the 6.52 GB file. While the game ships on the 28th of October, many pirates can’t wait that long. And why should they? We’ve all been waiting ten years for this game, it’s about time it got in to the hands of the public. I can’t wait to play it.

Out With The Old, In With The New

You’ve heard the terrible news about Muxtape being shutdown by the RIAA and now you’ve got no way of discovering new music. Guess it’s back to the ol’ 90210 iPod. On the RIAA’s official site, it claims that Muxtape had been evading the RIAA for a little while, which lead it to the killing blow which was a cease and desist order.

No worries, folks. Just like everything on the internet, when one site is taken down for illegal acts another is erected in it’s place for the same purpose. The majority of Muxtape users are moving to 8tracks where you can mix together 8 tracks with no more than two tracks by the same artist – all for the purpose of listening and sharing. It’s great to be back infringing copyrighted music material that the RIAA tries so desperately hard to abolish. Epic fail.

Is Universal Buggin’?

Nothing is for free in this world. Unless of course you work for Universal and get free screenings. Then of course you try to sell DVDs of your shiesty recordings during the screenings. That’s the reason behind Universal Pictures canceling all non-executive employee screenings until further notice. According to Nikki Finke’s source:

“…some dumb fuck pirated Wanted at one of the lower lot venues.”

A Universal insider claims “some dumb fuck” shat in the apple pie for the rest of the employees and they’ve lost one of their few employee perks because of it. Though Universal itself says that the incident was not the reason that the employee screenings were shut down, it’s a little mysterious when a warning is shown during a screening of Hellboy 2. Verdict: Universal’s buggin’ out.

Pirate Drinking Belt = Every Frat Boy’s Dream

I haven’t checked my contract in awhile but I’m pretty sure I’m legally bound to cover anything pirate-related on Gearfuse. Up today, we have this kick ass Pirate Drinking Belt from some company no one has heard of. It comes with a striped belt, a shot glass with skull and crossbones, a bottle for liquor and a nice little skull buckle. Essentially, it’s built for a true drunk pirate. Unfortunately, there’s no price but if you buy in bulk, I’d imagine it’s no more than two or three dollars.

Stow Away Your Booty In A Pirate Themed Home Theater

stars.jpg

I’m going to go ahead and guess that this Pirates Of The Caribbean Home Theater is wooden leg accessible. More inspired from the theme park ride then the actual movie, the wall of the theater displays 7 pieces of art themed after scenes from the Pirates ride.

And much like the ride, the theater contains a lighting scheme that will make you fell like a true sea traveler, poking along the ocean on your ship into the starry night. The rear of the theater (which contains equipment that most of us could only fantasize about) even contains a pirate themed bar, or tavern. So grab a frosty mug of ale and hope that you don’t catch scurvy. If Pirates isn’t up your alley, check out the Star Trek Home Theater or the Titanic Home Theater. — Andrew Dobrow

Giant USB Duplicator: Pirating Made Easy

giant-usb-duplicator.jpg

Whether you be a corporate type just trying to find an easy way to share data with employees or really want to pirate loads of Radiohead’s USB albums, the Giant USB Duplicator offers the chance to copy data to 20 USB drives all at once in one illegal shot.

I also wonder if some hardware hacker can mod this device to just be one gigantic USB port, allowing you to plug in 20 different peripherals. Why you’d need that many connections at once is beyond me, but it would be pretty bad ass. — Andrew Dobrow

Skull and Crossbone Toaster: Arrrgh, we hunger for jam, and then it’s a trip to the poop deck

Skully.jpg

We wonder if it was something like this that helped aid those eBay sellers in creating Jesus faced toast. The Skull and Crossbone Toaster brings you the best in pirate themed bread products. Branding a toasty skull symbol on the side of your breakfast.

Isn’t a skull and crossbone the international sign for poison? Is that really something we want to etch onto our food? Despite the fear for our lives, the recent pirate enthusiasts are sure to have a ball. Even though the quote on the side of the toaster, “Sweet toast of mine”, leads us to believe there is a hidden Guns N Roses theme. So we guess the real question is, do LA metal heads enjoy a hearty breakfast? For 32.95EUR, you sure can. — Andrew Dobrow
