The Simpsons Nail Art

the-simpsons-nail-design

Two Simpsons posts in one day? Insanity! Pure insanity! Them Gearfuse boys must be Simpsons crazy. We are indeed. There wasn’t much we could do after we saw this Simpsons nail art. What choice did we have other than to post it up? So, yeah, if The Simpsons are your mortal enemy, we’re sorry, but you’ll still have to deal with it.

Because It’s Friday: Elephant Pandas

elephantpanda1

So here’s the deal. Apparently, the Thai people really, really love pandas. They love pandas so much that they are willing to paint their national animal, the elephant, to look just like over-sized smelly versions of the cuddly bears.

Keepers of Thailand’s Ayutthaya Elephant Kraal threw some paint on five of these huge rodentphobic mammals and paraded them through the streets, much to the pleasure of the Thai school children. Some seen to think that the elephant keepers have gone a little too far. But I look at it this way, at least these elephants aren’t being processed for meat, skin and ivory. I think the elephants look pretty happy considering. More pics after the jump.

DIY Chalkboard Refrigerator

chalk_fridge

Parents with younger children, listen up.

This is a chalkboard fridge. By that, I mean that with a little time and money, you can turn the entire facade of your refrigerator into a damn chalkboard. This will keep your kids entertained for hours on end and will most likely keep them from drawing all over the walls. Essentially, you just sand down the front and paint it with that nifty chalkboard paint they sell at The Home Depot. But don’t follow my instructions; hit the link for the full details on this mod.

Custom Painted Retro Systems

It can be quite difficult to find classic gaming consoles and games that predate the original Xbox. After all, the Nintendo Gamecube could be considered retro by today’s standards. Scratch that. The Gamecube was retro the moment it came out.

If you’re in the market for some quality retro gaming, what better way to go than a painted SNES. The one shown above pays homage to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. For 149.99 this custom painted Super Nintendo could be yours. Not a Zelda fan? You can get a Ghouls N Ghosts or Secret Of Mana painted Super Nintendos for the same price. Want to go even more retro? Original custom painted Nintendo Entertainment Systems are also available. It’s no Metroid Arcade, but it’s almost as cool.

Munny Tusken Raider

Vince’s roommate is really in to Kidrobot’s Munny dolls. For those not familiar, they’re blank “Do-it-Yourself” vinyl figures which can be decorated any way you see fit. When I’m not ruining Vince’s roommates Mini Munny designs, I’m busy searching for Star Wars Munnys like the one toy customizer and 3D artist for Avalanche Studios, Squapper, has made. It’s a Tusken Raider. He even sewed the clothes by hand which shows some serious dedication.

Squapper also has some extra Munnys on the shelf and is planning on a Jawa and Ewok design. His favorite Star Wars is A New Hope.

I-Dog Joins The KISS Army

Straight out of Hell and right under your Christmas tree is this hotter than Hell KISS-themed I-Dog. Who rocks harder than KISS? That’s right: no one. The dog sports Gene Simmons’ Demon face paint, but also shows some love to Paul Stanley with stars for the Star Child.

It plays back music via a built-in speaker and also puts on an electronic light show, all for just 30 bucks. If this dog was a real supporter of KISS, it’d drop the sassy light show and get to work on some pyrotechnics.

Weird Videos: Fan Made Zune Advertising Gone Wrong

Zune fans are PHAT. Yes, PHAT – pretty hot and tempting. They also have a vivid imagination when it comes to their own fan-made advertising. We think YouTube user ButternutJelly is a Zune fan, but we’re not so sure.

Clearly drawing inspiration from Tubgirl, he made this short film for Microsoft’s Zune. If it didn’t include a disclaimer, I’d have thought it was from Microsoft’s advertising team. Warning: it’s quite disturbing.
