Netbooks To Run Google Android OS?

The question isn’t can Android run on a netbook, but rather, when will it come pre-installed on a netbook? What you see above isn’t photoshopped; it’s the work of the VentureBeat/MobileFacts crew who spent four hours compiling Android to work on an Asus EEEPC 1000H. Everything works, including network connectivity, sound, graphics and other hardware. They argue that Google’s Android OS is designed to be put on everything from toasters to phones to laptops. If you want to read how it was done and what Google has in store for Android during 2009, I’d highly recommend clicking the link below.

Mac OS X Compatibility Chart For The Latest Netbooks

Interested in running Mac OS X on your new netbook? Then check out this compatibility chart provided by Rob Beschizza of Boing Boing Gadgets. Because Apple takes its sweet time on all of its ideas, netbook users have taken it upon themselves to try and get the Mac operating system running on various different netbooks.

According to Rob, the ideal choice for installing OS X are the MSI Wind or Dell Mini 9. Both of which can be turned in to a hackintosh with little problems. There are still some shades of gray on the chart, but it’s everyday users who will figure out these compatibility issues, not Apple.
