AT&T To Add MMS Feature To iPhone

Someone must’ve turned on the genius machine over at AT&T. Though I’m told AT&T’s customer service representatives aren’t known for delivering on the spot information about up and coming products, word has gotten out that MMS (multimedia messaging service) support is being considered for the iPhone 3G.

MMS allows transmission of text, pictures, and potentially video to other MMS-enabled phones.  Served a funky omelette at a run-down diner that mildly resembles the fifth president of the United States? If you’ve got the new iPhone, you won’t miss a thing.

Personal Drug Den: $100,000 Plastic Egg

For nearly $100,000, you’d expect one hell of a multimedia experience from a personal multimedia dome. It promises complete isolation, “brown-note bass” to induce shitting and the ability to roll around. You’ll be able to get the interior styled however you like if you’re a leather daddy and can get a video game console installed as well.

With a price tag like this, you’re probably better off dropping $1000 for a weekend at the W or a spa. Need complete isolation all the time? See a fucking doctor, you weirdo.

hometheater

Manitoba native Michael Tarasenco built a $50,000 home theater with $30,000 worth of stereo equipment. After many years of being an audio junkie, Michael decided he wanted a theater in his new home. Using no outside labor, the basement was renovated and a theater was built in a 13′ x 28′ area. Watching projected movies on a 92″ retractable Da-Lite screen must be sweet. Couple that with a room modified for great audio and you have quite a multimedia experience going on.

Transformer Phone Concept Molds To Accomplish Any Task

tancher1.gif

Thanks to an innovative design and well-thought form-factor, the Transformer concept phone by Shkinder Maxim can do much more than your average mobile device. The Transformer has the capability to act as a mobile phone, photo/video camera, multimedia player, projector, and is even working on support for holographic imaging and 3D scanning.

Featuring 2 independent swiveling and flipping displays, the Transformer can accomplish multiple functions without much change to navigation or form. The concept also talks of a possible 3D scanning system which would store a 3D image of an object in the memory banks and project an exact image of the 3D model using holographic imaging, much like R2D2 does for Princess Leia in Star Wars.
