Advertising a la Minority Report

Do you remember the scene in Minority Report where Tom Cruise walks into a Gap and is greeted by a holographic female who recommends clothing to him based on facial recognition? I remember thinking how awesome it would be if a hot holographic chick did all my shopping for me so I could just lounge around and stare at girls’ asses. Lucky for us, YCD Multimedia shares the same feelings and is working to bring digital signs to our local malls.

Each sign will be able to scan a customer’s face and analyze it. After determining race, age, sex and ethnicity, the system will recommend purchases based on your bodily makeup. It’ll be interesting to see what it recommends for me. I’m assuming some t-shirts are in order….

lexus concept car

Are you one of the few left who are still obsessed with Tom Cruise? If not, don’t worry, this car still looks hot, and you can still buy it. This gorgeous Lexus was made completely custom for the movie Minority Report (w/ Tom Cruise).

Now don’t be suprised when I say that this picture isn’t of the real car, it’s only of a replica. Which is why it isn’t going for over $1 million on eBay… it’s only going for a measly $88,000. Yes, 88 grand for a car with a Chevrolet V6 engine and next to no interior. But it still looks nice? Doesn’t it? –Nik Gomez
