Cigar Guy’s Identity Revealed
A week or so ago, an amazingly striking (no pun intended) photograph of Tiger Woods shooting a golf ball straight at a photographer went through-the-roof viral within a matter of hours. Almost just as quickly, one bug-eyed mustachioed man smoking a cigar in the very same photo overlapped the original popularity of the actual theme of the picture. This man became known as Cigar Guy. Cigar Man’s identity has finally been revealed. Meet 30-year-old, London-based investment analyst Rupesh Shingadia. Rupesh... Continue reading
Surprised Darth Vader
He looks like a little Ewok! Surprised Kitty has new competition with CapnPeteStraw’s Surprised Darth Vader, a parody of a meme (Surprised Kitty) inspired by a meme (LOLCats). Should we be expecting a parody of a parody? Maybe an Even More Surprised Darth Vader? Or Surprised Lando Calrissian? Come on, that just sounds like a hit.
Things on My Head
YouTube channel thingsonmyhead was made specifically for one sole purpose, a series of videos where one Canadian man puts various objects on his head and stares at the screen for a few minutes, blinking, breathing, balancing, the usual. The variety of objects placed on his head so far include bread, a phone book, a dress shoe and of course, Parmesan cheese. My best guess for the origin is Things on My Head is the prevalence of people asking people on... Continue reading
Cat Can and Does Haz Cheezburger (Finally)
After nearly half a decade of meme stardom, the LOLcat internet meme finally came to an end today when a cat named Mittens successfully haz’d a cheeseburger, marking a milestone in both feline and meme history. Mittens is unavailable for comment until Caturday, though her owner, YouTube user roxy72, seemed happy enough letting her kitty nom on her cheezburger. At one point in the video, roxy actually sounds like she’s part-demon, which I guess explains what “possessed” her to let... Continue reading
8-Bit Trololo
Alive and well within YouTube and the geeky musical sub-culture is the art of the chiptune, which basically sounds like the soundtrack to an 8-bit video game on steroids. YouTube user Robinerd took inspiration from the meme-erific Trololo and created a geektastic chiptune masterpiece which is sure to grace the iPods of many-a meme junky. “Trololo Chiptune Cover” was made from scratch over a period of 8 hours using software called musagi. If you’re a complete 8-bit purist you might... Continue reading
Microsoft Uses the Double Rainbow Guy in Cringe-Worthy Commercial
I don’t know what it is about Microsoft and making terrible commercials. Their Seinfeld ads were a disaster. With Bing, they just sort of used the power of information overload, mass tedium and constant brand plugging to get their point across. I sort of liked the “Windows 7 was my idea” commercials, and by Microsoft standards they were works of art. But it seems they just can never get the promotional stuff down. Since they’ve figured out that, for the... Continue reading
Ray Bradbury Watches “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury” Video (PHOTO)
When Rachel Bloom, a.k.a. racheldoesstuff, posted her “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury” video to YouTube, never in her wildest dreams could she have possibly imagined that the man himself would be watching her confess her fantasies. By the looks of the photo, he might take her up on the offer. Lucky girl. There’s not much you can hate about a geriatric genius in suspenders watching a college coed in a school girl uniform professing her lust for him. My only question... Continue reading
Your Very Own Sad Keanu
As far as papercraft goes, this isn’t the most artistic creation we’ve ever seen. But for those of you who are as artistically-challenged as I am, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This simple print-and-cut DIY allows you to have your very own Sad Keanu computer monitor companion. A pair of scissors and a piece of tape should get the job done. For five minutes of your time, this is a pretty damn cool way to meme-ify your desk space.... Continue reading
It’s a Double Rainbow All the Way!
Happy Thursday! This will help you get through the rest of the week. A perfect testament to stepping back for a second and looking at Earth’s beauty. Also a testament to the benefits and disadvantages of dropping acid in the wild.
MEME INCOMING!: An Even More Surprised Kitty
Ok, so this one doesn’t look like a little monkey, but he generally looks extremely surprised. I just want to know what they hell they are showing this poor cat. While you’d have to break the jaw of most kitty’s to achieve the same affect, I don’t recommend it. I’m sure the same effect can be done using strings and duct tape if one were so inclined. Check out the vid after the jump.
