Rubik’s Cubewich: Geekiest Sandwich Ever?

cubewich

Made using cubed pastrami, kielbasa, pork fat, salami, and two types of cheddar cheese, this Rubik’s Cubewich is one of the most delightfully geeky sandwiches I’ve ever seen.

Something about this sandwich screams gas city, but it’d be so worth it. I’d just have issues taking a bite out of the damn thing. It’s too pretty.

Awesome Dad Creates Rad Lunch Bag Art Every Day and Blogs About It

lunch1

If only my father was half as cool as this guy. Pretty much every single day this father creates a new piece of art on his kids lunch bags. He uses his lunch break to craft these awesome drawings. Sometimes they are known characters, but most of the time the art is inspired by obscure cartoons or YouTube videos. He than takes a photo of the art and posts it on his Lunch Bag Art Tumblr blog.

Lucky friggen’ kids. Even in my 20s I wouldn’t mind having someone draw me some awesome lunch bag art, especially if they all had such awesome subjects as “Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They Roar.” You just have to make sure no one tries to steal your food. After the jump you’ll find a few more of his more recent works.

Anti-Theft Lunch Bag

Super kudos to whoever came up with this slick idea. Don’t want some hungry motherfucker eating your delicious McChicken? Grab some of these anti-theft lunch bags that have green blotches printed on both sides. This way, everyone will assume your lunch has gone spoiled. Boo yah! You could probably make your own with a non-toxic paint or coloring of some sort. Give it a try!

Toaster Bags For The Jared In You

Toasted bread is the way to go but sometimes I’m in the mood to toast an entire sandwich. Pork roll, egg and cheese on sliced Rick Astley bread can get a little sloppy when you try to cram it into a toaster. I’m not talking about those awkward toasters either, I mean your basic, run of the mill toaster.

That’s exactly why the toaster bags were invented, it gives you the ability to toast your sandwiches like Subway so you can be just as much of a lard-ass as Jared was before he started actually working out. It’s called the Toastabag and for just $18.95 you get two reusable bags that’ll toast anything you shove in them. Or you could try aluminum foil. I’ve done it and it (sorta) works.

Zing = Instant Foodfight

Growing up, Ryan and I attended a pretty decent upper-middle class high school in New Jersey. We got in plenty of trouble and did a lot of bad shit, but one thing that never happened on a full-scale operation was the food fight. If we had used Zing spoons instead of shitty plastic sporks and other utensils, we’d have probably been expelled.

At $9.95, it’s a bit of an expensive spoon depending on how you look at it. Sure, you can eat all the apple sauce in the world with a Zing, but did you know that the handle bends like a spring? Thus, it allows you to fling food all over the cafeteria at a rapid pace. Line your sixth period lunch table up against the wall and perform the ultimate tribute to the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

I think every kid in elementary school should have one of these.

I’ll have a number 4 on rye, hold the Mario

nintendo_lunches_1.jpg

Some mothers scold their children for playing with their food. Others encourage it. This mother bases her children’s lunch around game playing. This Japanese super-mom packs her children custom made lunches themed as popular animated characters. Most of these lunch creations focus on popular Nintendo games such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart.

While some of these meals are made of food that don’t seem particularly appetizing, especially for packed school lunches (although we do live in America), the creations look almost too gorgeous to shove down our gullets. We said almost! *chomp, chomp* — Andrew Dobrow
